He would only be on about 200K more than what Daisy is currently on, which when you put it like that. It's about a depth player not really getting a game who we wouldn't have. Liam Jones FFS would be on about 400-450.

And just to let you know we re-signed Dahl, Stringer Bont and Macrae all last season.

On topic, yeah that Stringer guy goes ok. His combination of speed, size, skill and strength make him almost impossible to match up on. I'd have Spurr go to him in round 1 but we'll be relying on team defence to shut him out. Need to avoid letting him get 1 on 1's.

This states daisy is on 700K
And would jones be on 300K? That equates to 1million.

He is such a dynamic player. If they can turn Boyd into a big gorilla up front forcing teams to use a 2nd or 3rd tall on Stringer, Stringer will just run rings around them. I think he's the kind of guy who, if he is getting beaten, could be thrown down back in a similar role to McGoven and have the same impact.

McGovern is very good in the air, reads the game really well and is a thumping/accurate kick. Stringer is far superior in pace,agility and would be more prone to break the lines than say a McGovern type. not sure he could handle the big forwards one on one though

There's no concrete indication that Boyd won't be a very good player in the near future, same with Joe Daniher and (almost) the same with Jon Patton (hope he's fit this year, poor bloke). Mediocre seasons happen with young players, it's not a first. Not every key forward is going to have the start which Cameron or Hogan had. Way too early to even float the idea that the dogs have stuffed this up. When you have a bloke with the potential that Boyd has on the table, you take it. Every damn time.

and I would rather have Stringer as an attacking midfielder as a changeup than say defender. His style suits the modern game with space often created over the back where he can utilise his pace and goal sense

Plenty of clubs paying a player or two around the million mark. Bullies needed a big key forward so they went out and bought one - simple. Good on them. And the benefit of that will show when he is into his prime and the Dog's midfield peaking at the same point. They're already kinda scary. Imagine them say about 2018 - a midfield steamroller. None of that group will be going anywhere when premiership writing is all over the wall.
Jake Stringer is a player that people already go to the footy to watch. An AA with freakish ability. Surely at least one of the next big things.
