Just a question - what's the differential between Steele and J Kelly (GWS) price-wise? Reckon the latter could be better if you're going down that path, but GWS has so many, it's hard to know who'll score best.

What mid rookies actually look like playing round 1 and have decent job security?

Schoenmakers could replace Lake (I'm not sure where Schoenmakers played last night) - would make the talls Frawley, Stratton, Schoe... Gunston, Sicily, resting ruck forward. Gibson could run off more now that Suckling is gone too.

Schoenmakers time as a defender is over.
Short of their being no alternative due to injury, he is now a forward. Played all his junior footy as a forward so not surprising really.
Even more the case with Roughead out.

They would love Spangher to get his body right. He would be plan A. But he hasn't been fit for more than 12 months now so I won't be holding my breath. Alternatives are very raw and untried. Brand and Heatherley the likely 2. Looks as though Brand is in the lead.
I think ideally they would like to play another tall so will probably give it chance. If it doesn't work however, they know they can survive playing smaller. Both Howe and Litherland are cllose to 190cm and offer much more with ball in hand. Don't really play like genuine KPP though.

If Brand plays Rd1, it's possible Howe doesn't

Mills, Oliver, Kerridge should be your 3 starting mid rookies (depending on your structure), all will play early on

Gresham, Menadue, Davis, Gore, Hewett, Jansen, Keays are others that could play early on
