The story is going to be better then MoS was because DC didnt let David s Goyer write this alone. and the final script was re-done by Chris Terrio who also did daily re writes.

Yeah I know, not suprised as it happens with practically every blockbuster these days (Star Wars TFA a noteable exception). Go back and have a look at the Prometheus trailer for another prime example.

Still sh1t tho

They had the plot of TFA in a thing called star wars: a new hope

Yeah have heard there are screen shots from an advance screening floating around.

I don't want the film to be spoilt a week out from seeing it.

I've seen some of the spoilers including the images floating around. They have not changed my opinion of the film what-so-ever.

Fair enough you don't like it everyone has different tastes

Hopefully once it's release you're not in here bagging it all over again .

Sure as shit they'll all find something wrong with it.

I for one will enjoy it for what it is. A massive blockbuster with two iconic superheros going toe to toe, then creating the Justice League along side WW and others.

Can't ****ing wait!

Everyone has the right to express an opinion right or wrong :)

"I've seen dodgy screenshots on the Internet and I'm pretty sure I'm right about this movie I haven't seen"

A strong take.

Have also read plot points and things that "happen" in the film. Doesn't really grab me, again DC are trying to play catch up to what Marvel have done.

I prefer the DC heroes and villains over Marvel's so I want it to be good in that respect. However it deserves to fail with the creative team behind it AND the decisions made.

Funnily enough "reading plot points on the Internet" isn't the way movies are meant to be seen.

Welll derrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

On this instance after the disaster that was Man of Steel, I'd rather know ahead of time :)
Well it's your own fault for ruining the film for yourself.

I don't get the hate for MOS, but again everyone has a different opnion

I don't spoil myself with every single movie or tv series in advance, made a special exception for this one seeing as Man of Steel was wayyyyyyy below par. Shouldn't really be surprised as Zach Snyder's directing style can be loved or hated (as I've said before I disliked 300, Watchmen...... yet loved Suckerpunch).

My "hate" of Man of Steel is pretty simple, other people have different gripes with it. But for me it was a combination of:

Directing style, taking the easy way out with certain shots in order to get away with the obviousness that it was a cgi sequence. The way the film was cut and edited made it seem like it jumped from sequence to sequence without much cohesiveness.
The script - pacing of the story AND the way characters were written including actions and dialog by the characters.
The actors saying certain lines felt forced, sometimes hokey, cliche ridden and corny rather than natural. Especially "Superman" himself, you can argue that "he's just starting out" in the story..... but if in the sequel he still has the same deadpan delivery in the lines he speaks.......... you can't argue that it was Superman's first outing any more.

The film itself lacked any heart and soul :). They did try but they failed..... the Jonathan Kent death scene..... LOL

When the best and most interesting aspect of the film is the villain and wanting to see him succeed in his mission, you're doing it wrong director!!

They could have taken the entirety of "Birthright" from cover to cover and it would have been a better basis for a film rather than pinching one or two ideas from it to use as a platform for their own movie.

Can't ******* wait!

I tend to agree, the spectacle itself is unique enough that it has the inner fanboy in me doing flips. Its 30 years since the TDKR was released, I didn't get it until 1987 though (for my birthday). It was unbelievable, have read it dozens of times since but the first read always sticks with me - especially the moment Bruce delivers his speech to Clark after they've pummeled the shit out of each other.

Just the fact now, almost 30 years later, I get to actually see them in the same movie is epic. And iconic. For that, I'm extremely grateful, irrespective of the concern I have that the film will suck.

Kevin Smith said it best in one of his podcasts after last year's CC - he said something like "I can't ******* believe I live in a time when I get to see them in a movie together".

Yeah and it's a miracle we will finally see a proper angry and traumatised Batman on screen, never liked Bale as Batman ( having said that I loved Begins excepts for the end bit...much like MOS in the same way) not that he appeared much as the Bat it was more abouth Bruce Wayne.

As for man of steel I liked it even with its flaws, superman is an impossible character to make a decent movie out of, he's too overpowered and unrelatable.

MOS did a good job in achieving a down to earth Superman with flaws, he made mistakes and struggled with his powers, as well as questioned his role in the world.

Coming from Superman Returns I think it did a much better job than that piece of shit

Yeah took them long enough to use a voice moduler... Now if I can just get the 3D files to make that mech batcowl....

In before Arrow did it first.
even though the Arrow Show is basically a re skinned Batman with Batman villains

Bit harsh on MoS calling it a disaster - sure you don't mean Superman Returns?

Thought MoS was very decent for the first half, sure had some problems but nowhere near as bad as your painting it.

Those problems derailed the whole thing for me though. It's way down my list of comic book movies where even The Dolph Lundgren Punisher film and the 80's Captain America movie are rated higher as I enjoyed them more :). I also prefer Superman III and IV over Man of Steel :P.

Superman Returns wasn't too bad, my main issue with that one is that it suffers by being TOO long (thus does get boring because lets face it nothing happens).

I know an opinion can't be 'wrong'. But yours is.
:p
