Finally good to hear Yarran in back - lets get him going at Peel and same with Ape.
Unfortunately Peel have the bye this week which hurts for players like Yarran and Mora. It kind of stalls any momentum that Mora could have taken through and start putting some matches together and some form. In saying that its probably not a bad idea for him to have two weeks off after his first game in 18 months.

Can they play at other reserve teams now or has that been quashed?

They single out Tucker as having great delivery into the forward line, and using his pace and mobility to take the game (...or training drills in this case) on. which suggests to me he might get a call up. :thumbsu:

Pav is also backing Mayne to turn his form slump around very soon

I wish I shared Pav's faith in that... :(

Can any training watchers shed further light on the subject?

Yes, if any of the training watchers can say exactly when Chris will get his confidence back then I can commence watching his goal kicking attempts again with far more interest and hope:D

Mayne was super accurate the year we made the grand final. Having a reliable shot on on goal is essential to team success. Oh I wish he could turn his goal kick woes around.

Jack Anthony kicked 50 goals in a season once too :P

Pity he was not super accurate in the Grand Final!

Mayne is 27, he should bloody well be in ripping form right now with his experience, instead there's not even a damn sniff of it anymore, his last decent game was round 5 v Melbourne last year.
Not good enough sorry Chris, time for you to go back to WAFL and kill their team momentum for a while and get over the yips without affecting home and away points.

Yeah it really does kill the momentum when he misses. Im hoping someone else steps up..... here's looking at you yarran.

I spoke to Shane Yarran after training had finished and he and Sonny were going to lunch. In answer to my question when he was going to be playing again he indicated that he will be back in a week. So that means he will be playing for Peel against Claremont at the showground in 2 weeks Salem malik Sandi7 Harry Reems. TheInjuryFactory

I don't believe in momentum, that's for avalanches or runaway trains. There is the required level of effort to be sustained when you are winning and aspired to when you are losing. Anything else is excuses.

Momentum and morale are there and play a part in games, they don't need your belief in it mate.

I bet Clarkson does which is why his coaching has the Napoleon touch of brilliance that Lyon (who I imagine thinks just like you) lacks.

I remember Casboult last year was one of the best contested marks in the comp. He was dropped. He can't kick. Neither can Mayne. Casboult was playing in the worst team in the comp.

Well sorry if I don't believe in fairies and pixie dust. You can take to the bank that all Clarkson's theories about football revolve around hard work first and foremost, everything else springs from that well, it's no secret. Napolean, bugger me, look what happened to him when he tried to add the flair!
