I can't understand how the Eagles players are not being questioned about this.
A young Victorian footballer was banned for two years because he ordered "vitamins" from overseas.
He hadn't even picked them up from the post office.

He hadn't even picked them up from the post office.

The AFL won't talk to anyone about anything until external pressure forces them to react.
They ignored tanking until it became so obvious and the public outcry so loud they finally had to "investigate".
They only acted on the supplements saga so they could try to control the outcome.
The AFL only cares about public perception. A small story here and there does not cause enough trouble to cost them money, so they will continue to turn a blind eye.

To be fair, I believe the "vitamins" he ordered were supposedly labelled to contain banned substances, whereas these were unlabeled ingredients and the eagles took all reasonable steps to confirm the contents.

Let's make this dickhead PAY for any inquiry he desires - as long as the funds come out of his own inflated pocket, instead of the long suffering fools who have to vote for these clowns!

Seriously, is he not aware of the fact that each player should be responsible for what goes into their bodies? If the players aren't going to be upfront about that, then they deserve their suspensions and more for being completely ignorant, stupid and blind!

Former Essendon coach James Hird has lost his court battle to have an insurance company pay his legal bills over the long-running supplements saga.

Supreme Court Justice Kim Hargrave on Tuesday said Mr Hird had failed to establish any of his claims.

Justice Hargrave formally dismissed Mr Hird's lawsuit against Chubb Insurance.

The judge said Hird refused during the civil trial against Chubb to provide the transcript of the April 16, 2013, interview and the details of the 'show cause' notices to the 34 Essendon players, saying it was subject to confidentiality orders in the Federal Court proceeding.

Justice Hargrave said no evidence of those confidentiality orders was provided to him and no explanation was given as to why the documents which could have helped Hird's case could not be tendered in the civil trial.

On the surface of it you'd think it would be a breach of contract and there duty of disclosure...........

.......but what's its matter, if the insurance company pays than we the consumer pays with higher premiums to offset the loss, my god you can't have a company not pay its shareholders...

And..

....if the durg cheating scum have to pay out of their own pocket we still pay because the afl will pay it for them and send the bill onto us the supporters of every other club and our clubs.

1. The insurance will have to cover the deliberate or negligent doping of players;
2. The players must not have contributed by knowing what the injections were;
3. The insurer must be convinced that they must make massive payouts; they won't if there is a possibility that a court will not order them to do so.

And insurance companies will try to recover any losses from other parties, like Dank or Hird.

My conclusion: the club or some benefactor is paying most of the payouts, and they are being offset against contracts being signed by the players, e.g. Cale Hooker.

Salary cap cheating right there if they have an understanding that is outside the salary cap with the afl commission than it equates to blatant cheating from the sports governing body and an endorsement of drug cheating.

No way in anyway shape or form can the players playing contract be linked to payouts. Any third party arrangement which involves money/gifts or capital gain have to be ticked of by the afl commission, how on earth can they tick off third party payouts linked to a playing contract .IE Judd and Visy...............................carry on, nothing to see here.
