You are arguing with the typical head in the sand supporter there Doodles. He'll never see sense. It's always about injuries.

Better than head up the arse supporters.

In the fwd Swan, Elliott, Fasolo, Moore are out but boy am I glad that you say there is nothing unusually. I am must be the only one then that thought they would be our top goalkickers this year.
I fear for us knowing that other clubs have the same injuries and can only get better.
At the start of the year I did a poll on how many Cloke would kick and most selected him with 50+ goals so going off that most rated him to win our goal kicking. No injury excuses. Fasolo and Moore have only missed the past few games. Injuires aren't the reason we are in the ladder position we are in.

I really like these selections. Our spine looks much better with Brown and Cloke. Our tall balance is much better with Witts out. I'm also pleasantly surprised to see some faith given to Phillips and to a lesser extent Marsh despite poor weeks last week. We are far from our best but I think we look more competetive.

Injuries are not the only reason but they are certainly a contributing factor. It's silly to argue otherwise.

Judging by your goal scorer expectations; you knew Cloke would get dropped then and you knew Fasolo would become a regular player and have a break out season. How prescient of you.

Yes 3 of our 4 current best 22 player injuries are in the forward line (Moore is still a low output fringe player who we are pumping games into). Swan (who is a mid/fwd) and Elliot have been gone since round 1.. so it's not like we haven't had time to adjust. We've had the luxury of playing Cloke in the VFL to find form while Mason Cox and Jesse White have both been doing well. You've failed to notice.. this year our problems are not in the forward line... so in your own special way you have just emphasized that our problems are not injury related.

That the BF board was delusional about Cloke was well known to me, didn't know there was a poll to proof that.
All the excuses I heard last year was that Cloke had no support. Most would have filled that in based upon team composition. And that was before Elliott was out? And Swan?
The post I responded to stated the current situation. If you want to bring in the rest of the season for you own agenda, I suggest do a search on injuries and read all the treads this season. Should keep you busy for a while and saves us both a discussion as everything has been said before.

Be a good team selection, assuming we win.
If we lose kindly pick up pitch forks on the way out of the MCG (and I suggest a raincoat as well)

My disdain for Cloke's scoring ability is well known. So I got lucky on the expectations.Meh. Fasolo break out season? Take Cloke out and there are not many leading goal kickers left apart from those 4. White would have been in the VFL , Cox wouldn't have been in until 2nd part.
Time to adjust? It shows how wrong you are.
Are you saying everyone has been playing in the same position each match and that injuries had nothing to do with team selections? You have the same tendencies that Bucks has.
- Take out an experienced player ( injury/form/whatever ) , bring in a VFL player and automatically assume it should be a like for like in quality.
- Different players on a number of positions each week , tell them to play the same role as his predecessor and assume the team balance won't be affected.
But same goes for you as for TG. A inaccurate comment from you regarding the state of our injurylist at the moment and off you go discussing the season again. Which by now has been discussed to death.

Ok sorry. Yes I can see now that this is all way over my head and I am wrong . Injuries do happen and they only happen to us and only disrupt our plans for world dominance and yes obviously our forward line has been the main problem for us this year due to the injuries.:thumbsu:

How Marsh is still in that team let alone a footballer has got be staggered.
I thought his third quarter was pretty good. The more he plays seniors the more he'll we'll get those third quarters and less of the other three

I dont Swan wouldn't be much help to the forward line. If he was fit he'd be
Playing midfield.
