Sydney's 1st rounder , the Casboult 2nd rounder and Everitt for Omeara .

They won't do that for a player, who if right, could be the best mid in the comp.

I would try our 1st(#4) and Sydneys 1st(#16) and Everitt for JOM and Melbournes 1st(#9). We may have to throw in 2017 2nd rounder too. That is if he is right. Hopefully we get a better Doctor to do his medical that whoever did Daisys. And We listen to the report too. If you look ay Bourgoyne, who I rated in the top 10 mids when he was traded, Port got #8 & #9, so the deal I put probably evens out similar. Bourgoyne had more runs on the board, but was 5 years older.

So the club now needs to make decisions based on the opinions of a random bloke on an interweb forum?

With all due respect DVB, that's ridiculous. The club is in a much better position to gauge the value of a player than you or I will ever be - unless you've managed to hack Jaeger's medical files.

I think there is more than enough anecdotal evidence and word of mouth through the traps to suggest that O'Meara is too much of a heavy risk.

If it were up to me, I'd only trade Everitt for JOM and a third rounder, and if only he accepts 400 K per year (not a brass razoo more), that's the only terms i'd be happy coughing up for O'Meara, and quite frankly i don't think we we need him anyway.

It seems to me that the only rationale for recruiting JOM is to show up other other clubs and to keep proving that we're a 'destination' club, and quite frankly, I think that is completely the wrong motivation and reason for recruiting a bloke (AKA Daisy Thomas)

Borgoyne was so long ago and before free agency was a consideration, Adam Treloar is probably the most recent comparison of the Jaegar even though Treloar had more runs on the board but Omeara has a bigger spruik.

2016 2nd rounder and 2017 2nd rounder for Marchbank Tomlinson and Stewart .

I don't see any clubs offering a first round pick for Marchbank meaning a second rounder will get it done. A second for the other two is overs IMO and hopefully we can get them for our third. I liked the other trades.

For what it's worth, here's my 2 cents worth...

Marchbank, Tomlinson and 1 other for our 1st rounder, Marchbank is a definite top 10 draft pick so we have to bite the bullet...

O'Meara IF the medical is perfect, will be a Carlton player, my guess will be this years 2nd rounder and next years 1st...

:D

I can't believe how giving up our first rounders for the next 2 years is going to help us build a premiership winning side.

Marchbank has been injury prone already and we have NOT had trouble with KPFs. He is not a huge priority for us to be giving up our first rounder.

JOM is a massive risk. To give up our second this year and our first next year (In what is rated to be an elite draft at the top end) is just stupid. If we judge it based on what JOM is capable of, then it could be worth it but with his knee issues it's too much of a risk.

I would definitely steer clear from giving away our first two picks this year and next year's first LOL we'll practically be absent from the drafts.

Daisy looked fantastic in navy - limping around the forward pocket for 2 years while earning $750k per year while Eddie was strutting his stuff in Adelaide.

Omeara - no thanks as the cost will not be worth the risk.
Might be time we gave up the omeara fight seems the masses are keen . Plenty more fish in the sea if we wanted to throw 750k and a 1st rd pick on a player that isnt playing on 1 leg .

I wonder where they get their info from then, saying things like 'he has unofficially committed to them' also I wonder why Essendon? Do you have any insight?
The Tigers may have upped the ante but from previous conversations the Bombers were pushing the hardest to get him across.
It'll be interesting to see what eventuates..

Someone please tell my why I should feel confident about Cuningham's future - without using the words pre-season, injury or bent-wing bat.

Because the kid is about 7 games in to his first season of AFL and was obviously rated quite highly by our current recruiting department.

What are peoples thoughts on Ellis Yolman? Turns 24 at the start of next year and can not get a game, despite every week smashing it in the seconds. He is I think under contract until the end of 2017. Surely wouldn't cost anything more than a 3rd round selection.

A lot of talk of Prestia, Omera, Mitchell, Crouch but in all honesty I think they are all a year early for us and would want a little too much money.

I've liked the little I've seen of him - good size, hard at it, reminds me a little of a poor man's Cripps. Would be happy to pick him up for a late pick (3rd round or later) or as a DFA if he's out of contract and is happy to come that way.

Yeah, not sold on Cunners either. Having said that, happy to give another 2-3 seasons to prove himself.

I can only imagine how hard it is coming into the league at 18, not all settle particularly quickly (or well at all).

Mick loved Daisy Daisy loved Mick, thats why he came to Carlton. He could of lost both legs and Mick would of still brought him across. Whatever Mick wanted Mick got. If we do Chase JOM then I have full confidence that the proper steps were taken and everything was triple checked. As for the trade I'd be looking at swapping our 2 thirds for a future 2nd on passing that with our own future 2nd and Everitt.
