Past #6: Taylor Garner - delisted end '21 - 49 NM games/37 NM goals - go well Garns

Yep which will give him potentially the last 2-3 games of the afl home and away senior team. Assuming he plays VFL this week.

Could be the xfactor in the finals
Given where we are on the ladder, I fear our "finals" might be limited to a one interstate match this year. Such a waste of a 10:1 start FFS!

Good for him. The club has been good lately at locking away injury prone players who aren't going anywhere in any case, such as Garner or Durdin, who IIRC signed an extension during his first year. Yet when it comes to the best talent to have emerged at Arden St over the last 3 years, we haven't been quick and proactive enough.

le sigh...

It's still in our hands though. In fact, our end to the season has the biggest baring on the final composition of the 8 considering how close it is and our opposition in the final month.

As silly as it sounds given where we are, but if we win our last 5 and we may well finish top 4.

You're right, kangaspurs. That does sound silly.

Seven weeks ago it didn't but now it sounds very silly. Ridiculous even. :(

Something something about if's buts and candy nuts.

Jesus ffs
Did the bloke walk under a ladder, holding an umbrella with a black cat?

Wasn't part of September plans for mine but gee Im worried about him being up for the rigours of AFL footy in the future.

I fear his body just can't keep up with the demands of afl footy. Absolute shame. Feels like a Harper situation

Must have such a strong character to be injured 80% of his career :(

Dam, shattered for the kid. Hopefully gets some luck because we all know he has the ability.

He was one of the few blokes I thought could really have an impact during the finals. Shame.

Starting to think Saunders hamstring treatment and rehabilitation methods need some serious work. How many strings have been busted this season, especially LTI strings. FM, a hamstring is usually 1-4 weeks, NMFC hamstrings - 5-12 weeks...

Mentioned this ages ago. Think its more to do with overload in the preseason than management due to the number of tendons going ping. Dan Meehan nicked off to the Nets at the right time.

Way too soon to be writing him off. Yes, the hammies are an issue but it's not certain this will be permanent.

A long, full pre-season and he will dominate in 2017.
He had a full pre-season last year. The issue isnt pre-season. Its match fitness.
You can prepare as well as you want but once you get out there round 1 thats all that counts. That is my biggest concern. I still think he should seek external advice and pay for it out of his own pocket if need be. Blokes way too talented to keep breaking down every March.

Pretty sure Saunders isn't there alone practicing some voodoo, would have a host of doctors and specialists treating him and collectively determining what is the best course of action is for rehabilitation and recovery.

Players just break down for a variety of different reasons.
