even when we do well(etc Dani Samuels), we just laughably fall short. in the K2, when Stewart was in front, i think everyone knew we would lose.

been slightly serious here. but Kittys team culture, which is basically all about being proper and professional, might not be letting our athletes relax. so they use up all that nervous energy before. so it is kittys fault.

because i hate kitty i will use an example. The sailing team, the one team which seems to be matching expectations at this stage(again), are not in the village.

Yep it's been a disastrous Olympics, looks to be worse than London which I didn't think was possible.

Could even be our worst Olympics since Seoul. We snared 7/9/11 in Barcelona, and we're probably going to go pretty close to that. If the trend of underperforming continues, we might not match it.

The sailors seem to only be in minor medal contention unless a first placed boat capsizes in the medal race. BMX might be the best hope for gold, but that can be a bit of a crapshoot and could easily draw a blank.
