Not like dogs had a ruck today, we won the hitouts also tonight. We at wce overrate the need for rucks because we have had such dominate ruckman for so long. I say get a youngish mature ruck for depth but with our high picks concentrate on genuine talent.
Amen.

Name the last team to win a flag with 2 rucks?

Yep. West Coast in 06.

Hawks don't have 2 rucks. They have 2 recycled forwards who make a contest at the center bounces, nothing more.

They have an earlier second rounder than us. probably not worth our first.

i would use our first i look at the other options at pick 12 or 13 and rate him and Rotham as worth it.
It might be a little reach but probably worth it.
Like carlton reaching for Cripps at 14 it paid of for them

SPP doesn't have much physical development left which worries me, but his attack on the footy and hunt is something we so desperately lack i wouldn't be mad if we did reach to grab him.

he's a top 8 pick so no chance at getting him
Also he is a horrible tap ruckman at this stage because he is so skinny.
he has the best kicking and movement of a ruckman since Dean Cox so would be a long term option

Goddard is a much better ruckman than English.

I thought was treated pretty poorly by the selectors in the championships who gave the nod in the latter games to English.

Goddard needs to do more around the ground but he was the best ruckman in the championship and our selectors overlooked him and quite frankly I have no F******* idea why.

Might be a blessing in disguise if we can pick him up late.

God, I hope so!
Anyone who thinks SPP is going to turn a game like tonight around, well they haven't watched much footy, is what I'tt say.

Darcy Cameron or a Goddard would be a good rookie or late pick option

I dont agree.

I think SPP has heaps of physical development left in him and when that comes, then his attack on the football and his like for physicality in the game is going to make him a very seriously tough proposition to match up on. He will become a high impact player.

He's already a unit cant see him putting on to much more weight, if he improves enough aerobically he could become a different beast.

Josh Rotham played his last game in the colts for west perth in the centre and had 30 odd
He is another option 192cm beautiful kick and has a 2.86 over 20m elite speed

does a 15 beep
Also skin folds where not great until this year when he cut a lot of sugars out of his diet

Umm ...not sure where your getting your info from WCE1698 because there is nothing wrong with his aerobic capacity he in fact is one of the rare breed of players that have both pace and high endurance. I think he will surprise you with his beep test and two K trial at the combine.
Micky Ablett of the AFL Academy speaks very highly about SPP's unique running talent.

Just assumed that his aerobic capacity was what you were referring to in terms of his physical upside. What physical upside do you think he has left?

I see him over a three pre seasons easily adding another 6kg ( mainly arms and chest ) to that frame of his and that would make him close to the 90 kg mark.
I don't believe that he will drop any pace or endurance and at that size he is going to take some stopping.
The comparison to Dustin Martin are apt for me as thats the sort of power that I see SPP bringing to the game.

SPP won't be picked up by us.
We play it too safe for shit like that. Lower your expectations for something more like a nice boy who has zero heart/mongrel.
****ing can't wait.

This is enough to make any man sick...
Even has his own twitter and instranob and shit.

A life-long Carlton supporter, Andrew Gallucci grew up watching his beloved Blues play at Princes Park. Now at 21 years old the goal-sneak is living out a boyhood dream after being picked up by the Blues with their second round selection in the 2015 rookie draft.

Last season the mature-aged recruit played 19 senior games and kicked 29 goals for Williamstown, earning him a spot in the VFL team of the year.
