Oh, I didn't realise there was only 1 franchise QB ever.

It's not like we won't be picking in the top 2 again.
but look like our first you have and traded for could be in the 20ish range insead of the projected top5

lol, i dont think you realise how bad the Eagles were last year and how bad their o-line still is. Wentz is a ******* monster, HE HAS MADE THAT TEAM BETTER, nearly single handedly, side step it all you want, he was there for the taking and you didnt take him for whatever reason, he will be a star for years, a franchise QB if ive ever seen one. How you can sit there and defend Browns management is beyond me.

You haven't read much of Chris in the past. He would defend this team if they folded.

Another crushing loss today. We really should be 2-1. Had the Ravens on toast and well, we miss three field goals to lose the game today.

Terrelle Pryor was an animal and the running game seems to be coming along nicely. Our defense is actually getting some results as well which is nice. Kessler settled in pretty well i thought after the early blemish.

Gotta question Hue's late tactics though. 20 seconds left with a timeout in hand and he decides to take a knee. With Parkeys struggles i really thought hed have tried to gain an extra 10 or so yards.

Enough with the "player A would be terrible with the Browns if we took him" bull crap. Here is the thing fella's:

1. The job of any front office is to put players on the field that will actually give your team an opportunity (wait for it...) to WIN games.

2. Allowing free agents to leave because "they aren't your guys" is what unqualified front office personnel and coaching staffs do. GOOD front offices and GOOD coaching staffs, take players that can play...coach them up and build an organization.

3. Anyone that thinks it was a good idea to let Mitchell Schwartz walk to prove a point and/or show how smart the current idiots in the front office are is insane.

4. Anyone that thinks trading down from the #2 spot in the draft when your team BADLY/DESPARATELY needs talent is equally insane.

5. This regime had the opportunity to salvage players that could perform from the last regime and select a tall, well-built, cannon for an arm qb. Hmmm....think that kind of qb...oh I dunno...would look good in the AFC North?!?

6. Instead, these unqualified morons stripped the team down and traded away the ability to select an impact player at the top of the draft, for a bunch of precious "future" picks.

7. You DO NOT get to strip the team down and then say "well he would have sucked here because we have no line, blah blah blah..." These idiots CREATED the current situation where we have no offensive right tackle.

When you have people in positions that shouldn't be there--then these are the results you get.

Miami is an AWFUL team....the only reason the Browns were within hailing distance is because of what a garbage team they are.

I guess this is the beauty of not following the Browns for the last 20 years but I think they are heading in the right direction! They have That Shon Coleman to come in still at OT he could turn out to be a decent player! a good storey at least! I'm Hoping they pass again on a QB early and take Garrett with the first pick! look what Denver is doing! could be the blueprint Hopefully get Kaaya with the Eagles pick

So Crow reckons the solution was to keep doing what we were doing for the last 16 years? Because that was going so well....

Nope...I have always maintained the same thing...hire competent, qualified personnel for the correct jobs to be filled.

You do not under any circumstances hire businessmen/lawyers/baseball personnel to run football operations

You do not under any circumstances hire guys that should be head football coaches to run personnel department

You do not under any circumstances hire head coaches that should be coaching pee wee football.

If you look over the 16 years, there have been 2 occasions when the Browns had qualified people in the proper spots:

1) Butch Davis was a quality head coach---not surprisingly he steered the team to a playoff berth in 2 seasons (not 4 or 6 or 8 but 2 years)

2) The 2007 team had a horrific head coach but a pretty decent personnel guy (Savage)

Things fell apart for Butch when he was handed control of football operations---that never should have happened.

Things fell apart for Savage when he melted down on twitter--I would argue that although he had some misses, he is one guy that should have been given more time. He was saddled with Romeo as his head coach and that did him zero favors.

It is not nearly as hard as the Browns organization would have you believe.

So if you draft dont draft a franchise type QB, because he will be shit on your team, does that mean you never draft one? Raiders have been shite, they drafted Carr and are now building around him. He has been okay, and good, and stinky on occasion, but you build your team around the guy. Seems the Browns want to draft lots of players, and hope one day it looks like they could risk drafting a QB?

Don't worry...I hear by 2022 we plan on winning 3 games.

#baseball people running football organization

I think Hue has done pretty well with what he has to work with, no doubt the players are playing for him, been some flashes by both the D and O so far this season. Shame they are 0-4, playing much better than they were under Pettine.

Just think, half you boys weren't even alive the last time the Browns won a playoff game...but I am sure this continuous 5 year plan to seek out new trade downs in the first round and draft players that need to learn new positions, to boldly go where every other team in the NFL has gone before.... should work out.

If any of us live long enough. ;)
