Maybe the WHE deal has been held up till after Free agency and that, to see if we lost brown, so we can try and add a Corr type with him.

Is Rockliff off to Hawks as well as jaeger?
Do they have picks to do it?

I know Contracts mean little but isn't Corr signed at GWS until the end of 2018?

If true it shows he is highly regarded at GWS which shows he has promise but also shows he may be out of our reach regarding what we have to offer.

North taking a risk as well
Ahern got dicky nees
How much risk is involved when you're using pick 69??? Seems like a pretty low risk high reward move to me!

Hawk fans are talking it up, I think they're looking for a diversion to blank out what they just did to Lewis and Mitchell

The game plan still works. But Port's average players got found out over the last 18 months when the rest of the comp caught up to them on a fitness base. Which meant pressure which they couldn't handle.

I don't think a club would reinvent themselves based on the acquisition of Greenwood though.

of course not but that process takes steps. adding grunt players is what they need. the run and gun game will never win a flag.

The last 10 Pick 69's.

Wylie Buzza
Logan Austin
Pass
Pass
Mitch Golby (rookie promotion)
Cameron Delaney
Taylor Duryea
Bart McCullogh
Kepler Bradley
Ben Warren

I reckon gambling Pick 69 on a former Pick 7 was a master stroke!

It will, just depends how long it takes to bake the cake and if the game has past that or not. The sides that played the best footy this year were the dogs and GWS which both play the style but have the soldiers with the class, composure and footskills to pull it off.

You may very well be right I'm not saying he won't goto port Adelaide, I just don't see how he's a good fit for them at all. And to be honest, I don't really care if he's a terrible fit for them if it makes us better.

Collingwood have inquired about Corr from GWS. GWS don't want to trade him but Pies may offer good deal for him and WHE.
Thanks I was getting worried, this might get me through a few more hours until confirmed or not. At least it shows we are thinking.

Difference between dogs + gws and port are that Gws and dogs have the grunt and contested game/players with those capabilities to do it both on the outside, and the inside. Dogs are just about the best contested ball side, if not the best.

The love of Hawthorn on trade radio is disgusting.

They are just assuming that everything will work out for the Hawks. If it was any other club, they would be being ripped to shreds.
Winning 3 premierships in a row kinda entitles that sort of praise.

I'd debate the dogs are a run and gun side. they win the contest inside which port struggle at.

I love Levi's effort but he needs to find another home. I thought suns could use his inside work.

On the assumption Aherns knees
Are in good shape
C what plays out
Even if he never plays a game, it's pick 69...

And it's knee, not knees. He re-injured the same knee iirc.

I get that. But how about they actually critically analyse what has occurred, rather than just assuming that it will "all work out".

They have lost their two best players, plus Hill (who seems to have been forgotten about by the footy media). They are bringing in a bloke who has struggled to play for two years and Mitchell. It may work out, or it may not, but the lack of analysis does my head in.

I think it was implied by Apex that at the cost of pick 69 it isn't a risk and for it to be one the pick would need to be 30 picks earlier minimum. On face value given what has previoysly been delivered at selection 69 there's no risk at all for North on this one.

Justified then
