I can't see Brodie lasting to pick 5, to be honest. Sure, if the pick acquired through trade guaranteed securing him, then it would be a good idea; but I just can't see it happening so long as Brisbane has pick 4. Because of that, even though there is still talent in the draft like Taranto, I can't justify giving up any of next year's first round picks.
Keep them to draft solid to elite talent (especially if Hawthorn drop off as much as we think they can), or capitalise on GWS' desperate need for points to secure their elite cluster of academy kids coming through. With as much as 4 being touted as top line prospects, then giving up one or two of their established players would be an acceptable price, one would think.

bit harsh on roo, kicked 2 goals and should have had 3 if it hadn't bounced up on the line (which allowed maxwell to touch it) in the draw. Not to mention that colossal mark in the dying stages.

Didn't really stand out; clever and quick without being necessarily elite at anything in particular.

Possible that they are thinking addition by subtraction - If those two are soaking up midfield minutes and aren't great contested ball winners then they want to get blokes in there that are.

Hopefully they are wrong and they crash and burn like Freo this year and we end up holding pick 3
