You know, that's just plain cruel.

Call your offspring what ever ridiculous made up name you want but don't torture the child with old fashioned grandma names from the 1800s like Harriet, Mavis, Ava, Ida, Bertha, Ethel, Florence, Irene, Betty, Doris and Mildred to name few.

Harriette. Only a self indulging, selfish adult would do that to a child.

The world needs more Mildreds. And Beryls. Good, solid, hang your hat on them names, the decline of civilisation can almost certainly be traced to the decline of these sort of names. A Beryl would never fall pregnant young, or experiment with drugs, they'd wear sensible shoes, their hair in a bun, and marry a man named Bruce who wears socks, and sandals.

Love Harriet. Used to go to primary school with a Harriet, she was in my brother's year.
