And it made the PF win (with a dominant Boyd) that much more delectable. It's funny that this thread is currently called Tom Boyd- The Answer, because of where the turnaround began.
I've said this 1 million times on this board, but what our big cash offer represented was so much more than a desperate grab at a good young prospect. It was political. After years of being a feeder team culminating in our skipper and best player demanding a trade, we needed an answer.
Answer in some other languages is the same word as "response". In poaching TB, we gave our response to the endless poaching.
It was bold, full of risk, but it said something to the league. It said if you take our players we will answer, we will respond. As Peter Gordon said we weren't going to accept the status quo.
Thank you Tom, for helping us respond

Regardless of what happened afterwards, I still think that sledge is one of the greatest I've heard. Fair play to Hogan, that's extraordinary.
I tend to agree. It's decent, but way overblown.I'm pretty amazed that people find this to be some brilliant sledge. It didn't exactly require a great deal of wit to come up with.

I much prefer Judd's response to his ex-teammates getting into him about his cooked shoulders, responding with "It’s because I’ve been carrying you guys for five years.”
What was it?
During the hawthorn final? Everybody around me was going "wtf is Libba doing"I'd love them to mic up Libba for a game to see what he comes with when he's shuffling around resting his head on a bloke's shoulders.

Sooo not that I was looking but...
At the 30 second mark. Boyd puts the umm 'small hands' rumours to rest

] I was just near where he took it and it totally reeked of awesomeness. Will never forget that.Soz Foz, no idea how to make themThanks!! Adding it to my sig [can you do a gif?]
I've cut the video to streamline it. The video converter on sites seems much more efficient in reducing file sizes compared to producing actual gifs (3mb to 24mb). I've included it in a spoiler if you want to load it.Thanks!! Adding it to my sig [can you do a gif?] I was just near where he took it and it totally reeked of awesomeness. Will never forget that.
I noticed this as well. It is pretty hard to jump when you're doubled over. Lacking aerobic fitness might explain his lack of aggression (at times). We've seen patches of play like the mark when he's attacked the ball aggressively and looked a million bucks (yep). It seems to make sense, too - a huge boy like him wouldn't necessarily get to AFL aerobic standard within a couple of pre-seasons especially when you take into account his ballooning weight at GWS. Honestly, wtf were GWS doing with him?Interesting comment from him in post match interview talking about that mark.
Said one of the boys asked if he has ever been that high up.
His response was that he used to do it all the time but now he does so much running its harder.
So when his engine improves his marking might get better? Can his engine improve more? Has now done 4 pre seasons.
