Watched rockliffe up close on Saturday (went to the doggies game and sat in row A).

He just cruises along getting the job done and kicks goals. I like him.

I particularly like that after trading Birchall, he gets to remain in our best 22: with alchemy like that we will become invincible!

Tom Rockliff is a very good player but when he's made to defend going the other way he's a liability. Our midfield is already slow as it is. I'd rather the club wait and go for Lachie Whitfield when he comes out of contract.

whitfield is lazy and not the type we need. our midfield isn't slow, we just got rid of two of the slowest mids and bought in Jagear and Mitch who are younger plus Langford, Smith, Shiels are not what you would consider as slow footballers. us looking slow is because of been second to the ball and unclean with the ball.

I also like Rocky. He wins contested ball, he can kick goals, his disposal is above average.

He is a Free Agent, as is Fyfe.

By all reports, Fyfe will cost a million a year or more, and Freo will probably match any offer.
Rockliff will cost just enough to ensure the Lions get Band 1 compo, which is probably about 600 K.

Is Fyfe worth the extra money and effort?
Or should we target Rocky and have another 500 K set aside for another player?
