If you are just talking about the Power (not including the Magpies pre-97), I think it's 41 since 2011, 2014-now.

Round 23 vs Gold Coast might be the 50th.

Just not sure if you are including Maggies games from 1997-2013 and/or Maggies games from 2014-now.

I know some years back then they didn't have finals they just played a season and gave the flag to the top side. Hoping they have all recorded finals on these sites.

Also made another edit. We played in 3 Grand Finals at Adelaide Oval during WWII as Port-Torrens. But no records of minor round games + possible other finals. Not sure if we should count this though.

No, we shouldn't count them or pre season games. Only competitive PORT ADELAIDE first team games. Keeps it simpler I reckon. Then the team playing in the commemoration is the team that would have been playing if it was the very first game.

You might want to talk to Matt Agius at the club. After club historian John Sincock passed away a few years ago, Matt has taken over the historians duties. He might be able to confirm figures or lead you in a direction where help might be obtained. There is a SANFL historians society where each club has the equivalent of John Sincock and they work on historical records.

Might need to celebrate our 600th game at Adelaide Oval sometime next year.

There is a group of volunteers at the club that is trawling through old newspaper archives with the goal of recording as much as they can of every game the PAFC has ever played.

From The SA Register. Friday May 25 1877. I assume the volunteers are using TROVE.

PORT ADELAIDE FOOTBALL CLUB.
The Port Adelaide Football Club colour
match came off at Glanville. Play was com-
menced at 10 o'clock, and lasted until 12. Mr.
J. A. Rann was captain of the pinks and Mr. C.
Wells of the blues. The latter won the toss,
and elected to kick with the wind ; and they
were not long in getting a goal, which was
kicked by A. Barreau. Time being up, ends
were changed, and the blues obtained a goal
from a fine kick by Broadent. A. Le Messurier
soon scored a second goal for the blues, leaving
them the victors. Each side had 23 players.

It's interesting with Trove as there is the original paper article and then a digitized version, so names may not be correct unless the original is checked. Can be tedious researching but there is a huge amount of info for a wide variety of interests. The A Barreau is a distant rellie.

Obviously this doesn't count but I forgot about during the PAMFC era they played North Adelaide in 2011 at Adelaide Oval in the Foxtel Cup.
Which was played during the season, not a pre-season game.
