We're clearly Port's grand final with the way they celebrated that win.

So one 30 minute song and a few other 10 minute ones? **** me.

Nomming a 30 minute song should be an automatic ban from the song contest, ain't nobody got time for that.

Did you see how they won it brah? That was pretty ****ing cool...

...you know, except for the tantrum my wife threw. She only says mother****er when the football is on

A good defensive team would never have allowed that to happen.

and yes yes the same goes for us against Freo earlier in the year.

That's actually an interesting proposal. A trifecta should mean a one game ban from the Contest.

I didn't see it live as my internet and stream cut out in the last quarter but I've seen the replays on every bloody footy show since which is bad enough.

I used to laugh at Richmond for losing the unloseable like that but it's not so funny when it's your own team.

Serious? Hahahaha. That might have to wait until I get home and take those mushrooms I've been saving for the right occasion.
)
Mmmm, mushrooms!

You know what I love about this photo?

Ross was letting Gray run goalside, Dunstan was ball watching and neither Steven nor Savage bothered to even chase or man up on Gray.

Look at them all feeling sorry for themselves and being all gutted when they had no one to blame but themselves.

It's a touch ironic that the young team we had in on Saturday wouldn't have gotten as close as they did had the experienced players been present, yet not having anyone with the experience in the final passage of play cost us the win.

You just gotta laugh.

This season has been so up and down, I feel like I'm actually desensitised to this sort of scenario now.

You don't have to listen to the whole thirty minute song - the second movement is all you need to hear - musical brilliance.

So skip the first eleven minutes, listen to the next eleven minutes and feel free to skip to the next song.

Or, you don't need to listen to it at all because it's basically Eric Carmen's "All By Myself".

I mean.... Er I don't know much about Rachmaninoff.... *shifty eyes*

Wednesday?

Wednesday would be a little early I think. Results of the next theme are guaranteed to be Sunday so it's an extra day in this one or the next.

If people think they can get votes in on Wednesday with 30 noms and a few long songs then I'm happy to.

Give him a break, he hasn't been complaining as much apparently because Saints have started winning free kick counts. Because we all know that thats an indication of good umpiring..
I missed all this because I was busy sleeping so I was refreshed for an exciting day learning about Superannuation - I just want to point out that an indication of good umpiring is simply not over umpiring the game - regardless of the count, 47 free kicks in a game is overumpired. I guess the weather is to blame for that because there's always more tackle attempts when it's slippery.

yeah, but more importantly consistency as well, no use letting one side get away with things and then being harsh on the other for the same thing. One of the GC players knocked Caddy to the ground just before the ball travelled to him and got nothing, Tom Lynch pushes two of our players in the back, no free kick and results in goals, yet we got the softest calls against us imaginable.

as for overumpiring, well the week before against gWS there was a total of 22 frees for the first quarter which is absolutely shocking, it should be that for an entire game. Not one passage of play went smoothly without someone (either them or us) getting a free.

I thought you posted earlier that free kick counts weren't an indication of poor umpiring?

Actually yeah consistency probably annoys me more than over umpiring.

I just think it's ironic that after being sucked off by the umpires all night, it was a non umpiring decision against us that arguably cost us the match - had that free kick gone against Carlisle it may have been a different result - Port still could've won but given it would have been a kick to a pack it could have been easier to defend with lots of players around.
