The magpies are 10-5. We have had a great year with injuries.

We kick to pockets instead of players.

Our stoppages are crap.

We additionally spent so much time pressing back heavily in defence leaving large numbers of Melbourne players unchecked behind the ball which fed into a handball happy style of game which backfired all friggin day long.

That's why we don't bother trying to resolve our forward problems, you need to be in the forward line to solve them..... (Gameplan).

Just wait and see mate, his two favourite players jasper and trengrove are yet to sign.
This might explain why Jasper didn't join the 1/4 time huddle, was by himself out the back down on the wet turf doing long-sleeve push-ups or more likely looking for evidence of flesh-eating lice.

I agree with the comments that Kern is a good bloke, I also agree that he is a country standard coach, and I'm getting horribly close to agreeing with suggestions that he needs to be sacked regardless of the fact the club is still in 5th position on the ladder, but we know that won't happen.
7 magical Robbie gray seconds from being equal 11th

Or 5th if your cup is half full

A mere 30%..... That's 30% less income at some level...

Far out, a hell of a lot of band wagoners have suddenly announced they're Crows supporters!
Our nemesis are a very attractive proposition for neutrals at the moment.
Therein lies the problem.
It's self perpetuating.
Success begets success.
All of our hard work of 13 and 14 will amount to nothing the way things are going.
We definitely need a clean out and a new coach ASAP to give us some hope.
I hope Ken has an offer somewhere.
I would like it to be a win win situation for the bloke and us.
Same goes with our players.

Been told from a reliable source Ken's committed to gold coast senior head coach will sign a contract at the end of the year. Also Makes sense why trengrove and Pittard are yet to commit.

Gold coast can't be _that_stupid can they?

mmmm mmmm
IF true, which I sort of doubt, I would expect Dix to want to return there too.
15 goals in 9 games please take him too.

The guy is butter fingers, so so kick and isn't worth half his pay packet.

Massively overpaid for him on form

In 2017, only three of our 8 losses were acceptable — and of the 5 unnaceptable only 'v GWS' was at the beginning of the season. All the rest is very recent. We are not losing close games anymore. It is like we went downhill after beating Hawthorn.

--

We could group our losses like this:

I - Unacceptable
a) W.O. – Essendon, Melbourne, Adelaide II
b) Mid-game Meltdown – GWS, Richmond

II - Acceptable
a) Good Effort against Better Opponent – Adelaide I
b) Good Effort, Bad Execution – West Coast I
c) Not as Planned, but Kept Close – Geelong

--

Since Round 12, our record is 5-4 (83.33%) – all four losses were unacceptable:
ESS, -70
BRI, +40
COL, +31
RIC, -13
WC, +32
NOR, +70
MEL, -23
STK, +2
ADE, -84

--

In Round 11, our record was 6-4 (148.6%) – only one loss were unnaceptable:
SYD, +28
FRE, +89
ADE, -17
GWS, -31
CAR, +90
BRI, +83
WC, -10
GC, +72
GEE, -2
HAW, +51

--

It is a fallacy that we are where we are because of our fixture, though. The fixture is supposed to help us now, but it hasn't helped us so far.

We have played everyone once, except the Dogs (7th); and we have played twice Adelaide (1st), West Coast (9th), and Brisbane (18th). Not surprisingly, we went 0-2 (ADE); 1-1 (WC), and 2-0 (BRI).

60s and 70s was a great time for footy in SA. Never missed one of those port sturt games.
Sturt had the silky skills and class Port had the hard tough never say die attitude. Those days are dead and buried mate. Since ken has taken over i find it hard to get excited even when we win. I find myself thinking thank ×××× we won as it is more relief feeling than happiness. What happened on sunday would have been unacceptable in the past and you would have had pity for the team that had to front port the next week. Sadly that is also dead and buried and all teams fancy themselves when playing us. Its just not Port Adelaide anymore.

I grew up going 70s and 80s. I know technically the players of today are better, tactically better etc, and we RCG the past, but my word there is no way to impress upon people who never saw that era to understand just how insipid the players and coaches and board are.

I guess these were men who went to war running the club. Strong statement, but we have zero accountability at this club.

Maybe all clubs are like this now. "McFranchises" with a pre 1990 history of the old game?
