Anyone read the rumour on the main board, started by a Fremantle supporter, that Collingwood is set to swoop on Bolton?
He has no contract as such, so is not tied to the club. I doubt it is true but I wonder if the club should look to change his contract.

Trigg has spoken about this several times in the past. Although he is not on a traditional coaches contract the club is very safe guarded against this kind of threat, as is Bolton against an untimely sacking.
I definitely would not read anything into it at all other than opposition fans trying to get a rise out of us!

Bolton to Collingwood? Makes absolutely no sense at all.

He's been at the forefront of a rebuild at Carlton, and has had huge input into the wholesale changes made over the last two years. Coaches, players, strategy, culture - he's had his finger in just about every pie possible.

And after two years he's going to abandon a project he's been able to heavily influence, to take a gig at Collingwood - a club that has gone backwards every year for the last half decade, and is led by Eddie McGuire who wants everything done his way?

I'm sure Collingwood would ask the question, but there's no way Bolts relinquishes the dynasty he's building with the Blues.

If Collingwood want to emulate the path forged by Bolton and co, then they should start by adopting the same approach I.e. Drop the dead wood of yesteryear (Bucks and McGuire).
