Let's not over do it, we created more chances tonight in the 1st half than holgers last 3-4 games combined. We genuinely were unlucky tonight, some of the scramble defending and goal line clearances were ridiculous.

3-4 cleared off the line. 2 posts by Rogic and 1 by Cahill. Juric butchered 3-4 excellent chances.

How the **** does that Cahill shot not go in? We were right behind it and that looked in for all money.

And yeh clear penalty, we were very lucky and would have been screwed if we went 1-0 behind, but at the same time the score literally could have been 5-0 before that.

One of the most frustrating matches I've ever attended, so many shots for nothing, so much of the some old predictable play.
I knew going in to it we wheren't gonna score four goals plus we just don't have the strike force or the game plan to do it!

Anyway we still won so it puts pressure back on the Saudi's so hopefully Japan can do us a favor. Not much more I can add that hasn't already been said frankly.

Bozza is 100% correct btw about considering replacing Ange if we go down the play-off route it's far to important to be Messed around with.
But the other question is who is out there on such a short notice willing to take it? no doubt whoever does or wants the job would come with a hefty price tag too.(assuming we'll go international can't think of any locals willing or good enough to replace Ange)

Late 90s had Okon Zelic Muscat Vidmar Bosnich etc, early 00s had prime Kewell Viduka Neill Moore Popa Emerton etc even the late 00s had Cahill Wilkshire Neill Holman Kennedy.
This team has Mooy and Rogic that's it. It's incredible this team can even win games let alone dominate sides.

In part its a result of other codes hoovering up the most physically gifted kid- in the long term Soccer Australia need to send scouts to every aboriginal community in the country, identify the quickest, most skilled prototype Hills, Jettas Riolis when they are still in their early teens and offer them scholarships and major incentives to switch to the round ball early on.
