It seems like it hasnt worked. To try and load up again would

1) be norfesque. They are on the other side and on the way down. They need to start investing in young players.

Really only Motlop and Menzel. The rest are too old, or untouchable

The issue people have with Brian is he has been caught out blatantly making shit up like the "I heard fyfes phone call to a bunch of saints players at the college lawn".

He also does complete 180s. Which ordinarily people wouldn't care about but he then attacks people for having the same view he once had. For example he'll criticise a young player. State they will never be any good and should be traded. Someone will then come in criticise the same player only for him to then lose his shit at them claiming they're unfairly over critical on the younger players. Like he's completely forgotten what he was originally saying.

Which is why people have been more open to the likes of MG, stavros and George than Brian. You just get a discussion out of them.

My gripe with people who are ITK, or seemingly give inside information (and this is predominantly directed at brian) is that they seem to believe their opinion holds more weight than anyone else's on any given matter, purely because they apparently have inside contacts. If anyone disagrees with them (mainly Brian) then they are wrong :/

Which is bullshit. Just because someone might have some information not privy to anyone else, doesn't mean they automatically have a better knowledge and understanding of the game.

I do appreciate info, but I can't stand campaigners that big note themselves over it and make it a dick measuring contest. That shit is cringe as ****

After his finish to this year and Joey retiring, I think most Saints fans want to keep him.
If he was to be traded, IMO a late 2nd to late 3rd rounder. He is OOC, which de-values him a little too

Geelong have some father son prospects for 2018 plus they often seem to be able to pluck a local who has slipped under the radar.

They are coming towards a cliff by the looks of it but as we have seen with Sydney some clubs have the knack of not bottoming out. They already have a few young players who look ok.

Would I be interested in Rhys Stanley, not really he is still a tease and at 27 next year where would we use him.

Are there so many. Most seem just made up by posters. At tge moment the only real options are Kelly or 2 draft picks. That would be a disappointing result imo

When discussing trades, remember the value is in the relationship between the two clubs
Savage is currently a 22 player. With Joey gone his HBF eole becomes even more important for team balance.
Say the Bulldogs needed his type badly.
Considering we value him and the Dogs need him, his value might be a Rhys Stanley type value (21 for example) which on face value seems way over, but in the individual case as outlined above, it is reasonable

I keep reading articles that Geelong are keen on this player and Geelong are keen on that player((ie,Devon Smith,Jake Stringer.Gary Ablett Returning,just to name a few).
Can some one please explain to me how this future pick business works,cause to me the Cats for the past few years have given their 1st round pick away,and then always seem to finish up using/having one to get a player that is valued as 1st rd pick.Surely they cant be entitled to do it again this year

They afl dug up some old document from 2015 that says the restrictions on trading multiple consecutive first rounders don't kick in until 2019.

So every team can trade a future first this year regardless of what's happened previously.

Savage finished the year well, but I think they will definitely entertain offers… if we bring in a couple of quality players next year, Savage will be fringe again IMO.
