I actually agree. What were Richmond's premiership odds at the start of this season? The last 2 years has shown that anything can happen. Carlton winning a flag within 3-4 years sort of seems highly unlikely, but ya' just never know.

Gibbs, Kruezer, Curnow 29 next year, Murphy 31, Simpson 34. Some pretty ordinary players in the 22-27 bracket too. Some good players in the 22 and under bracket but slim pickings otherwise. All signs point to success being a ways off yet.

I can accept being ruled out next year as it is still within the period of a 3-year rebuild. But come 2019, we will be in tight with the rest of the competition and 2020 onward is our aim to do significant damage.

The 'some good players under 22' is more like 15 young very promising young footballers...hardly some it's a substantial part of the side. Add to this Docherty who is 23-24 and Bryne who is 23 our future looks very very bright. I'd be happy to write a list of these young guns. Add Kennedy and Smith from GWS and we are briming with talent. How many young guns do west coast have under 22?

There's a big difference between having an opinion on an opinion forum (which I standby, I don't rate SOS as a list manager but that's my prerogative), to posting inflammatory remarks the day after a Grand Final. It just shows a lack of class and poor taste given the circumstances.

If the comment was "Adelaide were rubbish and Gibbs could have helped Adelaide with their drive out of defence while negating Graham" then sure, it's a valuable opinion that actually adds something to the discussion- but to make a sarcastic comment/joke regarding Adelaide's 2018 draft pick and Gallucci's performance- just shows that being apparently the role of being moderator doesn't involve setting an example and acting with any class during discussions.

Everything you said makes complete sense but your opinion on SOS's list management is just bizarre.However it's your opinion.

Just because they are under 22 doesn't mean they are very promising. Some are, and some will become good players.

The reason you have so many born 1995 and later is your talent pool born 1990-1995 is and wasso shallow. Sheehan, Casboult, Phillips, Jones, Smedts, Lamb, Sumner, Boekhorst, Kerridge, Buckley, Docherty, Byrne, Graham, Plowman. I think the technical term for that is 'yuck'. And that's not including the 19 in that age bracket who have come and gone.

For whatever relevance it has we have 9 players Cripps' age or younger who have debuted and 5 yet to debut. Some look good, some too early to call, some I don't think will make it. But the our 1990-1995 bracket isn't garbage so it isn't crucial every one becomes a star.

Also,perhaps King M and FS Silvagni B and Hickmont W. in next year's draft plus a big fish? After the final clean out. 2020 will be knocking the door down of top 4.
Of course we need to continue to fine tune Development, Coaching and Game plan too.
Judd as director of footy 2018 onwards will be a watershed year things will move along very positivity.

I like Brendon Bolton and the work he's doing, but your list is still ordinary. A bunch of GWS off casts, underwhelming #1 picks and journeymen doesn't strike fear into anybody. Bring West Coast into things if you really want but 2 of the top 5 in your B&F are 30+ and this thread is about trading another who is currently 28. Might want to worry about replacing your own players first.
