We have whipped ourselves into a frenzy on here talking about spuds. Let's be honest please. I know this is Bigfooty and we like to dream but seriously we are worrying about battlers that cannot get games at other clubs lol.

Balic Impey Kennedy etc etc etc... if these dudes can't get a kick at these other clubs do we really think we have the magic potion to turn them into stars at our club or do they become list cloggers at Box Hill?

We have a list that's different to 6-7 years ago when you pluck a David Hale and he turns good....

Unless the player we are interested in will come in and make a difference and help is now then why bother. Hit the draft and pick up another Cousins or Morrison with late picks and let's see how we go.

If we don't do anything this year then so be it.

Rioli (Tiwi) Frawley (country) Stratton(surfing trip) Birch etc etc have been handed a gap year this year by our club without doubt to find the hunger again.

Let's see how we roll with our current list.

Richmond won a flag with Cotchin Martin Rance Riewoldt and about 18 battlers that were hungry for success and won a premiership.

If we get the hunger right then we can win it next year with our current list.

Agree with this. I think Adelaide and Geelong are about to get weaker. Clubs from 3-10 are probably thinking they're a couple players away from winning a flag. We might be able to get good value for Stratton, Puopolo, Birchall etc.

I also think there is a reason we targeted Henderson and now A.Miles. We obviously have a need for their type but we don't want to overpay for someone we don't really want. Getting those stop-gap players in cost nothing in terms of picks and salary and keeps us competitive while we wait to make plays for players we really want (Gaff this year or next).

You are calling 20 year old's that have not even been given a chance battlers... How many games have you even seen Balic and Kennedy play? Impey may not be a superstar but he is far from garbage. You can not have 22 superstars and even in our dominant team over the past few years we have had really good depth. Impey would be a nice addition and we need to move on some of these over 28 year olds and get in young players that fill needs for the club.

Sticking with the same list, hoping everyone comes back a finds their form is fraught with danger.

If you're not moving forward, you're going backwards.

Clarkson knows the list needs changing, and he also knows that sitting back and waiting for things to happen is list management suicide. Be prepared for change.

No we finished just outside the top 8 with 25% of our squad injured and having very little to do with our season.

Due to the above injuries we found some beauties.

Picking up Impey Or Balic or whoever else we take from some sides seconds is not going to push us forward.

Unless we manage to pick up a walk up start we have enough Box Hill battlers to provide the depth required given we have a decent run with injury in the pre season.
