He told us the story about how he signed with Carlton in 1984, and the Blues gave him $20k. He used the money to buy a new car. But then the Hawks convinced him to break his contract with Carlton and play for them instead. But then the Blues wanted their money back .

I remember going to a Port Magpies vs Centrals game at 'Lizbeth after he finished up at the Hawks. The sun was getting low and he stood between where I was and the sun. Highlighted by the sun was frazzled hair extending at least a foot away from the visible normal horizon of his hair
