On trading hours, I back the Libs position. Complete deregulation.

Even Xmas Eve. Was a Sunday so shops didn’t open til 9. Should have been open at 6. Was bedlam at 9. My local Foodland had to open 10 mins early anyway as the shoppers were all getting agitated.

That’s the problem with Nick X. He has no position and so you’ll be voting blindfolded.

I was thinking the same thing, Nicks party is basically Nick and his recruits. There is no Cabinet with experienced politicians coming to a party position. Sure there are times when the leader instigates a “Captains Pick” but then they generally are always poor decisions.

Every decision will be Nicks. His opinion will be their policy. So effectively one man could potentially be controlling this state. Do we really want that much control in the hands of one politician?

Marshall is not an impressive performer but I try not to let that sway me because I prefer to judge substance over spin. I often shake my head when I hear him interviewed. But ...

He is from a family of small business owners

He’s had a go at business himself (not all that successfully from what I understand, but that doesn’t bother me)

When I have spoken to him on 2 occasions he is passionate smart and genuine.

I don’t like the current Labor mob who see government as their divine right. And I don’t buy “SA Best” Nick X who if he was about putting SA first, then he’d join one of the 2 parties and influence them from within. But I suspect he wouldn’t last 6 months.

I just wish Marshall would find SOMETHING to pin his vision on. The last election he tried so hard not to lose it he gave no reason to win it. He’s making the same mistake.

He has to have the balls to have a MAJOR point of difference with Labor. That should be nuclear. But I don’t think he has the guts.

It’s a shame. Weatherill and Tom deserve to be humiliated next election. They’ve done a poor job and treated us all for fools, but I suspect they’re going to win and Nick X is going to win it for them.

I don’t think that’s symptomatic of free reign though. Most governments governing in their own right wouldn’t show the sheer arrogance the current SA govt is.

This is more a case of 16 years of never being held to account by the electorat, not another party with the balance of power.

I mean right now, Labor doesn’t have an outright majority. Fat load of good it’s done.

Not sure the law or sentencing is the problem, more so the way it's being administered by the out of touch Judiciary we have in modern Australia. The sentencing by the majority of today's Judiciary most certainly doesn't reflect the general public's expectations for violent crimes.

It's concerning how out of touch many of the judiciary are with society. It's like they live in their own world.

Still would have thought there would be a minimum sentence for such as incident... but obviously not.

Ps. I'm pretty sure there are sentence loadings applied in SA for deliberately injuring any emergency services worker.
