Just find this article so patronising to the people of Tasmania. Smacks of dickheads from Malbun telling them what's good for them. If they can have 7 games there, why can't they have 11 (and their own team)?

I agree, some Victorians are cooked, I argued with one who was yelling (typing in caps) that Tasmanian's will accept ANYONE as their team, and they just want a team and always have - to me that's just what Vics have conditioned Vics into believing. A Tasmanian in that chat was disagreeing with him wholeheartedly but that doesn't seem to matter..

Was listening to double camry in the car this morning when a caller mentioned the passing of Bruce Light. Discussion was around his work with Ashford Special School at which point I went into the supermarket to pick up 1 item. When I returned to the radio 5 minutes later, wrinkles had diverted the discussion to Holst (I assume his involvement with the disabled) and his golf handicap. Never change Ambassador Cornes, never change.

I listened to the first minute when Wildy introduced Cornes..."he just LOVVVEEESSS his sport", followed by Cornes postulating on sport/family...and then I switched to ABC. Why can't we get balance. The Sunday Mail has an article on Crows' co-captain Erin Phillips and a centre spread of the Crows' AFLW team.......all Crows.

Never mind, only another 9 months of what is Rory doing at the end of the season?

In this particular instance, maybe the fact that we don't have an AFLW side could be a reason?

That and AFL money hats and leaning on media affiliates to do their PR for them ends in countless AFLW is the greatest articles for the next 4 weeks.

Yes, agree....but that's a lot of free publicity for the Crows and that we miss out on......and unfortunately for us, equates to more members signing up for the Kamrys made-up club.

I think you are putting a little too much weighting on the AFLW. It fills a dead spot in the calender when there is **** all on. Tennis and cricket are finished and footy hasn't started. I suspect the AFLX will cannibalize a fair bit of their thunder.

I doubt it. It's an overblown fear, people who always went for the Crows delude themselves into enjoying this for 4 weeks a year and then once the mens start in round 1, no one remembers it was on.

Yep agreed.

Looking forward to "another 9 months of what is Rory doing at the end of the season"
It's quite fascinating isn't it Year after year after year we have the SA media saturated with will x stay or will x go..of course usually x goes with much consternation from the franchise but on the odd occasion that x or y or z stays you then have weeks of what a fantastic franchise it is because x or y or z stayed (for unders of course)
Wonder who next years will be.

To be fair, they are getting members for AFLW. Hopefully our team isn't too far in the future. until then I ignore it as best I can.

One thing I will be doing again this year is not watching the AFLW games .. its a Minnie Mouse competition ...:D

Oh great

So I have to choose between real football being played badly, or a bad version of football being played well?

Those dinky little handball drills you see the AFL players practicing look silly but that's what helps with clearances from contested ball situations. The AFLW players haven't mastered this skill yet and you get continual congestion/ball-ups. Any AFLW team that gets on top of this before the others will be on a winner. Maybe that was Erin's secret.
