Thanks finbarr. Finally someone has said it. Bevan was excruciating to watch. Test average of 29 says it all. His bowling was ok though.International one-day cricket pretty much died when a plodder like Michael Bevan ascended to the mantle of "best one-day batsman in the world" out of pushing 1's and 2's to all parts of the ground on his way to accumulating the most boring 100 imaginable.
