Why hasn’t Port made any statement about their racist supporters on the weekend?

Only last year they bullshitted this:


“As a club we are sickened by these reports that are at complete odds with the values of our club, represented in our spectator code of conduct,” said Mr Thomas.

“We simply will not tolerate this behaviour."



Sounds as though Port are tolerating this one just fine.

Can you imagine if Tex laid this bump on McGovern? They'd be calling for 4 weeks, calling him a dirty thug and booing him at the next showdown. Suck it up Port, Robbie got what he deserved

The bleating on the Port board is priceless. Poor Wobbie Diver. They only contested to fire up the unwashed for Round 1 and play the victim once again. It is all irrelevant though as Freo are woeful and the flat trackers will win easily.

Gray is a diver but this wasn’t one of those times. Genuinely hard done by.

They always threaten to strike when something doesn't go their way. Some have suggested not playing the second JLT game, simply because one of their players got suspended for a high hit

Trying to ignore it and hoping it goes away. Rucci, Cornes and Rowie will help them out with that by not mentioning it. If it had been a Crows supporter however......

In seriousness though there's a good reason the local media haven't touched it. Which mates do you invite to watch you play footy? Good mates. SPP would know what they're like. By extension his views may not be that far removed considering he knows their views and is still good mates with them.

Hard to pedal for a club that makes a song and dance about their indigenous programs etc when a player invites his mates to the footy and they go off with the N word. Especially after banana gate etc.

No doubt at all a hush plea went out.

Disgraceful really. There is a real trend with their club, there should be a double page spread investigating why this is and demanding action. Not commenting/criticising is tacit approval of such actions.
Certainly would be in the paper if it was us.
