Or the linesman who called Sterling offside at the Etihad ...

But yeah. League was gone the moment the first goal went in against Chelsea

Hendo or not Stevie probably still slips. Remember the game. They came with no ambition and parked from the first minute. Soon as it was 0-1 it was over regardless who we had out there.

Annoying cos we only needed the draw anyways. So if Stevie doesnt slip. We probably dont concede as they showed no ambition. But if we do win the title, does Rodgers get sacked and do we end up with Klopp. Sliding doors.

I'd much rather have the title win than Klopp at this point

FYI:
No bars/pubs in Melbourne will be showing the game. They all close at 4am and reopen at midday for Anzac Day.

It deserved to be a league winning year given how much fun it really was.

Tell me anytime we play Arsenal peoples thoughts don’t go back to that Anfield game that year. Luis knocking in at least a brace every time we played Norwich. Such fun times.

In saying that. Jod has a good point. We definitely see a brighter future now squad wise than we did back then.

Can't be complacent against West Brom this week. They knocked us out of the FA Cup and of course they just had that shock victory over United. It's tough one selection-wise because the 1st leg against Roma is just 3 days later. Do we give one of Solanke/Ings another chance?

Yes we do if Solanke/Ings can guarantee us that they will put the sitters away. :)
How did Solanke not score against Everton ffs?

Honestly, no. I'd rest the week after against Stoke. With no mid-week game this week there is no reason to rest anyone.

Perhaps. But what if we end up winning more under Klopp. Guess in time we can decide which ended up better. If Klopp wins nothing then you take the title with Rodgers and what will be will be afterwards.

But if we have sustained success under Klopp then maybe it ends up being a good thing we missed the title that year. Only time will tell.

Is it true Roma play Thursday 4:45am, Saturday 11pm and then against us next Wednesday 4:45am?

(All times in Melb time)

Pretty quiet on the GK front wouldn't be surprised if Klopp backed Karius and sold Mignolet and made Ward the backup.

As for defenders I think we are settled there, maybe buy a backup LB if Moreno leaves.

CM: Keita in + maybe Jorginho.

Wingers: I like to see Harry Wilson, Ben Woodburn and Ryan Kent become backups

Striker: Klopp is apparently fast-tracking Brewster into the side next season. Perhaps we could loan out Solanke and bring back Origi too who I think was unfairly shipped out IMO.
GK will be interesting. I think it's set in stone now that Karius is our number one which I thought was always the plan. Mignolet knowing this won't want to stuck around being a back up so I expect us to sell him.

I don't think we will hand the back up spot to Ward though. I think we buy a keeper to challenge Karius. Keep him on his toes.

I think we'e far from settled defensively. Matip has missed a lot of game. Klavan is old and Lovren is prone to big mistakes. Maybe Gomez eventually comes in and plays alongside VVD. Clyne just missed a whole year and maybe Moreno will want out.

I could see a defender or two coming in.

Keita already through the door. Jorginho would be a pretty great signing. Need something in midfield as Can is off and Hendo/Milner/Wij are all very similar.

Wilson, Woodburn and Kent aren't ready to contribute from wide areas. The drop from Salah/Mane to one of those guys is too huge.

We need more depth up top. I know I look has said he wants to fast track Brewster into the first team but he's young and coming off a big injury. Origi will be sold, as will Sturridge. Ings and Solanke have not brought the goals.

Definitely need more depth up top. We've been lucky that none of our first choice front three have suffered injuries.

How are they ahead with a worse goal difference?

They probably use head to head before goal difference is the only reason I can think of.

I'd rather Klopp and everything he's brought to this great club - the passion, the energy, the player development, the smart recruitment, the heart, the guts. The titles will come, just like they did at Dortmund.

Love the guy. Match made in heaven. Much like Manure and that utter twat Moanrinho, lol.

Fekir is the dream, but i suspect Ox is doing a pretty good impression of him already!

He's been a real find this season. Knew he'd suit the way we play and had a feeling he'd perform well, but his knack for standing up in big games has been pleasantly surprising. Still think we could use another body in that part of the field though, in addition to depth for our front 3.

We will need that creativity in our midfield next season for those league games where we are up against brick walls. Hopefully Lallana gets back to his 2016/17 levels which will make a big difference in this area.

Fekir or Lemar would be the dream in that role but very expensive and difficult to obtain. Dealer could be a left field option.
