Every game I have seen this year, when we play well for 4 quarters (N Melb) or have a good 2nd half (Freo, Swans, Crers) it seems we ditch Ken's "hold - short pass - mark - hold - short pass - mark - hold - handball in circles 8 times - blind kick to empty forward line" style of lay and just let the players run run run and play on instinct instead of like robots, we look 477% better and get results.

In: Richo, Schofield
Out: Nicks, Voss
I was thinking post game last night that we rarely see Voss any more, maybe he’s taken on more of a development role within the club this year. Lade and Bassett are always on screen sitting near or talking to Ken on game days.

if the umpire calls play on after the player goes off of the line of the mark and the player kicks the ball outside the boundry line, is that considered out of play?

no the line is effectively dead until the ball comes back into play. it's the same when they have a set shot near the boundary, the umpy doesn't usually call play on until they re enter the field.

Wonder who those young fellas in the box were last night.

Its amazing how well the tigers forward line has clicked when lade left. No bombing shit . Players lead and they don't bang it in high and long . They play basic forward craft , watch and learn port
Need to move lade permanently into ruck coach, and a coach that can teach the tall fowards to be more like nick riewoldt and less like wundke

Surprises at this moment:
Better than expected:
Eagles, North, Hawks

Worse:
GWS, WB, Ess, St Kilda

Most people would've had Norf penciled in for bottom 4. The others aren't as much of a surprise. AFL equalization doing its thing when Hawthorn and West Coast are still strong.

As far as Victorian teams go, they're less offensive than WB, Ess, St. Kilda and Carlton. Really dont mind seeing them do well - especially now that Harvey is retired.

Lucky we thought they were still turps when we played them. If we knew they were good, at Etihad, geez...

If AFL equalisation is doing its thing why are GC, Essendon, Stkilda, Carlton and Brisbane still shit?

Essendon still beat us and the Crows.
GC hurt by injuries.
There's no helping the Saints, Lions and Blues. Just shit clubs.

I think WB are pretty much where I expected them to be. I agree with the rest.

North only 4 points down at 3/4 time. North are the Rodney Dangerfield of the comp as they "don't get no respect! No respect, I tell ya!"
Late in the second half they were 26 points down and their current odds blew out to $15. At 3/4 time they had got back to 4 points but were still $4. Now they have got the lead but are still $2.52. All the time Richmond have been between $1.05 and $1.36.
