Interesting post by a Richmond supporter on the main forum. He suggests that Darcy Moore is on his way to the Saints in 2019. In a trade that involes a swap of 1st round picks with Collingwood eg 3 for 13 to be ontraded by Collingwood plus a player for Tom Lynch GCS.

Apparently Darcy and Jack Sinclair are best mates.

Saints gain pick 13 & Darcy Moore
Lose pick 3

Collingwood gain Tom Lynch GCS
Lose pick 13, Darcy Moore & player.

Yeah we don't have key forward. Looks at Paddy, Battle, Bruce, Membrey, Marshall.

We NEED midfielders ffs.

No way the club parts with Pick 3 in this years draft. If we slide further afield then possibly. But at this very moment I think the club would rather trade Billings than Pick 3.

Without wanting to open the can of worms.... why wouldn’t Paddy get fitter? I recon the bigger you are the more match fitness is required and Paddy haven’t strung two seasons together yet. I’m 100% confident that a fit Paddy gets a lot fitter then he currently is.

Yeah diabetics don't struggle with losing weight/getting fitter. Paddy just needs a better pre season or two.
Nathan Basset, Brandon Jack , Jamie Cripps all type 1 diabetics , all lean bodied, hard running AFL players.
Purely and simply Paddy just needs to get a bit fitter. Just like Billy Longer was a couple of seasons ago he just isn't quite fit enough just yet.
Tom Hawkins was a bit like Paddy as well. Took him quite a few yrs to trim down .

Not sure if Defacto is hearing much out West, but I’ve got a good contact at the Dees who reckons they’re an absolute shoe in to get Gaff.
He’d suit their team perfectly IMO, although he’d probably suit anyone’s team.

I have many friends involved in SA footy,from my previous home town(I am now a Mexican)and that includes a few of my best mates,who have Sons playing in AFL and SANFL.
One of them is involved at North Adelaide,which is the club that the current SA U/18(Brenton Phillips ) played for.
Phillips is confident that 4 of his current SA team can be around or will be picked in the top 10.
Lukosius,Rankin,Hately and Rozee.
My mates son has also been told the Crows are in turmoil internally,and many players are not happy and could leave.
We all know that via media,but the players that could leave are a possibility to get Adelaide another two Round1picks.
If this happens it is highly likely the Crows will try and get themselves into the best Draft position possible to get their hands on the players mentioned above.
Our current pick is a likely candidate to be involved in those discussions.
I doubt Carlton give up Pick1 with Lukosius so highly rated.
Whats everyone think,stick with P3 or trade for 2 picks
Could Luke Dunstan (South Australian)been involved ?

22 and 50 plus games in he hasn't exactly set the world on fire, if he had collingwood would have locked him up.

Last thing we need, they have tried him up forward and given him time in the ruck.

All of this talk of a move into the back half is because he has failed to fire.

I think romo has shown almost as much in a few games.

Thank god they didn't mess that one up.

If only we'd taken Nankervis and Brown instead of trading for Longer. ( a year earlier i was advocating taking Brown as a rookie on the back of a strong Tasmanian year ).

Savage who has been reliable down back while adding some attacking flair? Dunstan when at a time we desperately needed mids and has been one of our most consistent this year? And Acres who many on here describe as our X-factor and the perfect modern midfielder?
What a disaster!

Yeah, we could have taken Nankervis who really isnt that much better than our ruckman (Hickey and Longer would look ten times better if Dusty and Cotchin were at their feet), and the most unremarkable mature aged key forward in Ben Brown (when at the time another state league player wasn't exactly what we were after as we were still dealing with the Tom Lee experiment) but instead we traded for highly talented or rated players from other clubs and also were able to draft two players to suit our needs.

Yep a 10 pick downgrade in a super draft for a player we don't need... And why would we lift a finger to help the filth become a contender?

Wouldn't surprise me. Melbourne have seriously got their act together off field.

It’s a bit silly to base reality off one game. Reality tells me that he has been our third best mid over the last twelve months behind Ross and Steven.

I’m not against trading him, but only for the right price. I’d want to be aiming for that first Melbourne have Adelaide or at the very least the second rounder Carlton gave them.

Otherwise it’s just not worth it.

The reference was to - Reality is he is our 3rd/4th best mid right now. - the key words reality and right now, the right now means right now and that was our last game, and the reality, can't be supported.
With a mid drafted, and/or traded in as the least dynamic of our midfield group IMO, he's most expendable; if we got a second rounder of any sort I'd take it. There is always a caveat, if Armo retires and we trade Blake, Steele gets a long term injury then Dunstan's value to us increases.
However if the draft and trade period go as we would like it, the expectation of only Armo retiring, leaves him as third choice as a slow inside mid, with poor disposal and low centre clearances, lower than even Hickey. Barring injury to others my expectation for him is another year spent mostly in the VFL, as Clark, Coffield and Paton plus potential ins coming along, pushing him further down the pecking order, after which his value might be a third and lucky to get it.

There is nothing to suggest it will occur but think laterally. We do need midfielders and would much prefer De Goey in the deal. But what if we on traded Moore for another pick or player? Or after getting Moore traded Bruce or Paddy or Goddard for a high pick or quality mid?

The Hunter/Coffield and draft history suggests two 1st round picks are better than one no matter how high.

We have to be brave and creative to adjust our list in a shorter period.

What would we be expecting for Jack Lonie? Would it be worthwhile asking for a second rounder and playing hardball? Even if that meant extending his contract another year or two?

I definitely think Moore is most likely out the door, especially if they get Lynch.

Just can’t see ya chasing him, and especially since there are quality midfielders available at pick 3. At least I hope not.

Centre clearances. Hes 4th for us by ave.
1.3 per game. Same as gary ablett.
73rd in league. And on that list above him maybe only a dozen guys under 24yo.

Also ave 3.4 stoppage clearances.
21st in league.
Cripps, oliver, wines and Macrae only guys younger than 24 above him.

Maybe he doesnt improve. But improving the midfield will take pressure off him and he will look better.

You mean the Richmond supporter who really wanted Tom Lynch and now making up trade rumours because he wants collingwood to pay full price because lynch probably not joining richmond.
