SPS - Had many mediocre games this year and definitely looked laconic at the best of times. Hasn't played a single VFL game.
Rowe - Got caught out several times on the camera (On the Couch rinsed him for this) putting in half assed efforts
Kerridge - played plenty of seniors and again was caught out for all to see several times in the Freo game
O'Shea - If his KPI's are frees against and turnovers then he has earned his spot
Mullet - as above

If our players have won 1 game this year by giving 100% every week then we may as well relegate ourselves.

The first four on that list all do their bit defensively when the other side has possession.

How the AFL can justify giving Lions PP pick 19 in the 2017 draft after they'd won 24 games in 4 years and not to CFC is baffling. Have we won so many more over the same period?
Can anyone verify how many games we've won say in the last 4 of 5 years?

Surely you can do that math yourself .... google is wonderful.

The answer is 18 at the moment from 2015 to today, could stay that way or max out at 26 if we win every game from here on out.

We absolutely qualify...except we're Carlton.
25 wins including 2014 season - assuming no more wins = average 5 wins per season over 5 years.

Unless H gets injured we really should play him for the rest of the year. Don't think he gets anything out of playing at VFL level.

Maybe developmentally he doesn't, but it's also about setting a standard and not infringing on others abilities to develop. His leading patterns needed/need significant work, as sometimes he is blocking up space other forwards want to lead into. Charlie curnow got midfield minutes cut for similar reasons and IMO it's paying dividends now.

It's easy to say that player X should be playing because it will be better for their development. Next time Harry plays I'd recommend people get to the ground and just watch him for the full match. He's a natural athlete and does a lot right but his biggest issues at the moment are his tank (will improve with preseason) and his positioning.

Another thing to remember is that each player will have a different training load. People often talk about doing a mini preseason mid year when coming back from injury and something similar has been done with Harry. You really can't do stuff like that when players are in the seniors. I wish supporters would spend more time thinking about what's in the best long term interests of the club rather than short term he needs to play now type mentality.

In other news, Crows are desperate to get pick 1 in the door. Get to work SOS.

Yeah nah, shit like this happens several times a week

Again, if most of our players did their bit defensively like most on here seem to think, we wouldn't have won just 1 game and be 11 goals worse than Brisbane.
Kerridge was injured in the Freo game and hasn't played since. There is plenty to criticize in Kerridges game but lack of effort isn't one of them. Shouldn't base your opinions on anything Brown has to say. Too many plates have been inserted into his head.

Kerridge was injured during that game and hasn't played since. Lack of endeavour is not his problem.

I see brilliance is contagious today

The Lions got the PP in 2016.

The footage was taken in the 1st quarter, it's about what we are seeing not what Brown is saying - but okay choose to ignore it and make excuses for him and all our players.

So the AFL supposedly told the club we would not be getting a PP without knowing how the second half of the year would pan out?
That's not to say the AFL wont review that decision after we end up with only one win. The half way mark is way to early for the AFL to say yep your getting a pick if you apply now. They could only respond that if blues apply at the half way mark then we (afl) will say no.

So they probably didn't tell the club we won't get one?

Why would the AFL rule out a PP not even half way through the season?

They may have correctly assessed that Disaster 2018 is largely connected to the league's worst injury record. Much like when Melbourne were rebuffed on the basis of "you're shit now but the talent is there'. This has not changed.

Matera scored his one and only goal at the 25 minute mark of the 3rd quarter not the 1st quarter. Kerridge wasn't moving like he normally does and struggled to keep up with Neale. That goal is on Jones being stooged on the mark.

Nah, it's just the toilets under the Gardiner Stand which give off a stink.

Ahhh the memories........The unmistakable aroma of a 100 year concrete urinal that now has an exposed aggregate finish thanks to the high pressure erosion of countless poorly aimed penises!
