I wouldn’t want Rocket any where near the club after his stint at the Gold Coast, majority of the playing group couldn’t stand him.

Roos would be a great get, even if only part-time to help develop young players/culture. How he turned Neville Jetta into one of the premier defenders of the Comp was simply outstanding.

No interest in Rocket, not sure he's the man you bring in to help create any kind of half decent culture.

Happy with Teague but Bolton certainly needs more help. A senior assistant who has been in the game for a long time would be ideal.
There has been some talk around that Mark Williams might very well be that person

This is not our only problem, our VFL team is no place to develop when you are getting flogged. The only ones that can really stand out are the midfielders who are around the ball. The forwards would get poor delivery and the backs would be under siege. Fair enough in their last couple of outings they have done quite well but that needs to be our standard, not getting flogged by 10 goals every week, this does not help development.

Our injuries have weakened our seniors as well as our 2's, so we need to invest in some talent to be a core group of the VFL for us.

Even as a key forward you can still work hard when your team is getting flogged. Move up and down the ground, lead whenever possible (into the right spots), apply pressure when the opposition has the ball in your vicinity, etc. Dare say they're probably not looking purely at his goal, mark and disposal numbers after each game to see if he's improving, they're watching his work rate, repeat efforts, quality/direction/timing of his leads and his work defensively (even if it amounts to very little for the NBs on game day due to them being belted).

Power posing? It doesn't stand up to scientific scrutiny. I get where you are coming from, but it's also possible that they were just better than the other teams, regardless of their strange beliefs.

Keep your eye out for afl players hunched over with hands on knees, say after the qtr or 3 qtr time siren for example. You will very rarely, if ever see it. It’s always hands pulling on shorts or hands on hips. There’s obviously something to it but hey I’m sure you know better than someone who was a premiership captain and drove standards in another 3 flags over 8 years.

KK I'm not taking a shot, just commenting that the science behind it has been shown not to replicate. They may well do it, but that may not be what's driving their success.

Yep, right. Wtf would I know. He only coached me for half the season.
any chance of a pic of your towels on the line? no way 2 towels, 3 pegs.............shows a hurried, inefficient effort..........

I am not saying you're lying, if you say he says that, I believe you, I've never met him. Just saying that power posing probably isn't what made them great, even if he believes in it.
Jealous that you got to be coached by him, skills like very few others.

It may not scientifically mean you get more oxygen in your lungs, but if you have team discipline, team rules, team unity, n almost swaggering arrogant disposition team wide, then it matters, oh boy does it matter. Have you ever seen someone knocked over when they are on their haunches blowing hard - not a good look. And watch them go missing for the quarter..

It has nothing to do with power posing. It’s just placing your hands behind your head or on your hips when you’re tired, not on your knees. I’m really not sure why this is so controversial

Agree, but I wasn't talking about Mackay in general, I was talking about the team as a whole. If you don't have the ball and your chasing butt all day you playing the game how opposition want you to play. We would have learnt a lot more in our last 2 games than what we have done all season.

The press were pretty quick to bag us when we lost to the Pies by 20 goals as their side was at full strength and ours was riddled with injury. 10 weeks on, we beat them and not a word out of the press. The game is a different learning curve for development if your competitive.
