Back up? Roberts. For mine Roberts was well ahead of Collins at VFL level this year.

Find the KPD thing fascinating. There was a time when he looked a very good back, I thought he was our future full back. Then he seemed to stagnate and people questioned his pace, he was moved back into a rucking/forward role and that was that. I think this was also when Macca left. Perhaps M Boyd thinks he still has something to give in defence, and I wouldn't be surprised if he went well for you there, but I do note the general consensus is his body is letting him down more and more as his career progresses. Nothing major, just constant small niggles which impact him in game.

GCS just picked up Sam Collins so I'd say he's their plan B.
I'm not sure any team can bank on Adams given his injury history.

I’m not going to argue with you coz you clearly over rate our list. Even with a full list Polec would be in our best 22.

Polec plays before Dickson, Jong, Honey, Smith, Greene, Lipinski, Lynch, Williams to start and I can’t be bothered rolling over our full list to put eveyone down.

How anyone can not consider our list worse than two weeks ago is beyond baffling.

Dahl is a better footballer than Jong and Honey at 50%. Adams is better than Roberts or Young or Trengove.

Our list(and not all the clubs fault has gone backwards from the end of season) it may improve but as of RIGHT NOW it’s worse

Pretty simple from my perspective, we have anywhere near our best 22 Jong and Honey are not even close. Based on the last 2 years Dahl is not best 22. Again take our side that beat North, who does he replace.

As for Adams he hardly played and one on one this year when he did even in poor weather was ordinary.

You have mentioned nothing but depth players and there are more younger players already on the list already past those you mention

Polec Hall Pittard Tyson all into their best 22. And they would ALL be in our best 22.

He hasn't been able to replicate 2016 in the 2 years since (not on his own there though).

In those two years, he has been an ordinary ruck, a poor KPD and a poor KPF. We tried him in all 3 roles.

As good a servant as he has been for us, just think his time is up at the kennel.

Expect we swap picks that weren't going to be used by either club, but also wouldn't be surprised if he simply joined you guys as a delisted free agent.

Roughead took 43 contested marks for the 2016 season. In 2018 he took 10. Like a few of our team, his career season was in 2016 and has gone missing since. You can have him with our best wishes for a set of steak knives.

Cal Twomey has Rozee at 7 I think and Smith a bit earlier. I find he is generally a pretty good judge. So could get lucky.

This was just his ranking rather than a prediction of how he thinks things will fall on draft night

Posturing. Freo were in talks with Hogan over the weekend.
My take from the cheap seats - Freo bluffed, Melbourne know it and called them out, Brisbane will let Beams go and make a better offer to grab Neale which will start an avalanche of deals.

Statistically picks past 25 have about the same success rate as picks in the 50s so I'd hope we consider trading for mature talent with pick 27 as the Adams trade is likely to net enough points for West and with our third and fourth rounders we should be able to cover West & Khamis.

Hogan still wants the big long term deal. They are a long way apart. One side will have to change positions or it isn't going to happen. Hogan rejected the offered compromise.

I have been running with this trade going through since May. I think it's further away now than last year.

Polec is the only one who would get into our side. We have better depth players at half back than Pittard. Hall would never get a game in a Beveridge side with that work rate and Tyson isn't a bad player but no chance he's getting in over what we already have in our midfield.

Yes if we had them on the list every one of them would have got a game this year, but only because nearly every member of our best 22 missed games, many of them missing a significant number. Ultimately Polec is the only one who would line up for us Round 1 next year with everyone fit.

Everyone gets injuries and that is just an excuse. We had injuries in 16 and won the flag. Polec clearly best 22. Surprised its even a question.

Watch our recent games against Port - we are actually quite shit compared to them. We are a slow team and Polec would be an important part of our team.

And Dahl not best 22? Sheesh. Massive revisionism.

Jeez this is such a boring time waiting for these clowns to make up their minds. Snap decision AFL, bring forward the trade deadline to tonight and I guarantee all the deals will get done in the next 4 hours or so. Dragging it out like this is just painful. The clubs don’t need anymore time. If they can’t do it by now then just call it over and I bet they will change their tune as they will tomorrow afternoon once the deadline approaches. All this does is extend the time for more bullshit to be talked by people who we have heard the same crap from for the past week. There really hasn’t been any real new news for days. It's silly suggesting Polec wouldn't be in our best 22, he's best 22 for every team in the league. However, it's also irrelevant as he isn't worth as much to us as what we would have needed to give up for him and pay him.

Reading this thread it's clear that many want a big name for the sake of it, even if they don't fit in with our needs or we have to give up more then we should.

The delusion of the quality of our list on here is astronomical.

This trade period has shown how some in here literally live in fantasy land

The clique have praised us for not going for big fish and just improving through depth and trading role players BUT when North do that it’s laugh time!!!!!

We finished 13th(should have been 14th if Freo didn’t tank) this year and blokes like Duryea Polec and Hall wouldn’t get games for us????? Lol dear god seriously.

We are an absolute certainty to miss finals again next year. We are in full rebuild after a flag with a young list which proves how much we have stuffed it up but still we all have to believe in the club or we are wrong.

I’m happy to go to the draft and build but if that was the plan after 16 eveyone should be sacked and let’s not laugh at other clubs for doing exactly what the followers in here support we should do.
