Adelaide is a great place, there's lots of things to do and see around town. Glenelg is one of Australia's best beaches. Not far away there's the Murray River, Victor Harbor, the Barossa Valley and Kangaroo Island, all very beautiful spots worth a visit.

I'm a local and it's the most mundane city in the world that I have been (that isn't rural) but no doubt a a great place to settle down, raise a family or retire and wait to die.

I have a great job there but I'm interstate/overseas every month or two to keep my sanity. Once you have seen the world you realise how lame it is.
