Buried indicates (to me) someone familiar enough with the area and centre to know they have the time to dig a grave. Again to me that indicates handyman/gardener. And that is only speculation.

It doesn't fit the MO of a more careless killer agree. His MO may have evolved over time and we haven't found Sarah, she may be buried. What if he just got lazy with the last two known victims?

It's not as much fun for a narc if the bodies aren't found.

Oops ... typo, or not.

Behind scenes, someone else came up with that moniker so I cant take the credit. What do you think? I kind of like it, the subject matter is so dark it might take the edge off a bit.

Maybe if WAPOL published and promoted a picture of what BRE looked like around 1998, they might get some witnesses that could lead them to anything BRE had to do with the disappearance of Julie Cutler.

Although I'm struggling to think of how BRE would have been connected to Julie the night she disappeared.

Subiaco Primary School adjoins the whole length of that right side boundary of the Subiaco Arts/Theatre Centre

So it would be really really private around that boundary at night, as there is no road separating them.
Probably just a fence back in 1988.

Subiaco Primary School has been on that location since 1897 (122 years ago!)

Late at night after the shows had finished at Subiaco Arts/theatre centre the car park spaces inside the grounds would have been empty as there was no shortage of parking late at night nearby on street closer to the restaurants and nightlife in 88 down town Subiaco.

Apart from drunk after the show theatre goers or performers who might decide to pick up their cars in the morning after drinking at the centre or in the night spots nearby more likely.

In the dead of night there was lots of privacy to do all sorts of stuff in the grounds of Subiaco arts/theatre centre as you can see from the current google maps satellite pic. Although I think they might have removed or shifted lots of car park spaces more recently and possibly redone the car park road from what I recall was the main entrance to the grounds from what I remember of the Subiaco Arts/theatre centre from over the years.

I recall there being a Box Office at the Subiaco Arts/Theatre Centre going back many years.

I think the box office it was open during the daytime too and you could get tickets for a variety of Perth Theatre Trust (WA Government) Arts Venue shows, and things like the Annual Summer Perth Arts Festival.

So there would have been quite a few phone lines going into the place in 1988 for incoming Box office/ticket calls.

In 1984, the Public Works Department of Western Australia converted the Town Hall into a Theatre Centre. The building works included conversion of the main hall into a theatre with corner stage and tiered seating, conversion of the second floor space into offices and a rehearsal room, addition of an external ramp for disabled access to the first floor theatre entry, and service areas and toilets were changed and enlarged.

Subsequent to the Perth Theatre Trust taking management control of the building since conversion to a theatre in 1984, there has been the addition of management offices on the ground floor. These additions were constructed in the late 1990s and are of standard fit-out construction.

I read a long time ago that there was a BDSM group who used to meet up at Juliana's nightclub at the Hilton (will try and find).

Perhaps this is a possibility to consider - that the alleged CSK attended this meet up and became aware of JC.

Or a dogging group met regularly behind the hole in the wall?. No, I'm drunk plenty of long bows in my time, but I'm not swallowing this one. Trying to tie this case to the CSK case is problematic in a number of ways, not least of all because making an opinion that the accused is responsible for the disappearance of JC in 1988 is subjudicial until the trial is over, and contradicts the DPP assertion of an argument saying that the propensity evidence shows a developing escalation between 1988 and 1996, so in a way your criticising the DPP conduct of the prosecution, so it might be best that looking at BRE for the JC case is better left till the trial is over IMO

As you may recall, I've already received advice from the janitor on the top floor of Septimus Roe's house, that such discussions before the tribulation is over, could result in hexes from a hag, boils & puss, and being tossed into scolding hot cauldron water containing the entrails of chickens, without even a turnip to make it palatable.

What are the odds BRE joined a drama group? Julie had all her theatrical makeup in that bag iirc which never showed up again.

The thing that we do in drama and stage plays is .... dress ups. It might very well be something he would be attracted to.

Interesting to note, that the old Subiaco police station is right there (now Pathwest)....rubbing the coppers faces in it if true.

There was serial killer in America that stalked couples "necking" in parked cars. Saw a documentary about him once on TV back in the 1980's. Can't remember which serial killer it was....
