If my assessment of de Goey hurts your feelings then maybe it is you that should retreat to your safe space on the Collingwood board.

Your assessment is that a 25 year old role player is ‘arguably’ better than a bloke who was AA squad and kicked 48 goals....because Sexton has had two good games!!

I said he will be arguably better which is more of a prediction than an assessment. Assessment was everything else I said which is accurate.

You obviously haven’t watched Sexton much. He has loads of talent and untapped potential.

To be fair Sextons a pretty damn good player, nowhere near De Goey but he is a really good goal kicker. It would be interesting to see how he’d go in a team like the pies or west coast

Just had a WTF moment, when I read some media hysteria/hyperbole etc.

So some media guru is now trying to spark a comparison between Darcy Moore & Peter Knights, as bona fide Centre Half Back stars.

Moore has played 2 games there so far, albeit good games. And I sincerely hope that he remains injury free & realises his full potential.

But to compare him with Knights, one of the great CHB's of all times is ludicrous.

These lazy journos & so called experts, just pander to the Collingwood throng don't they???

It's arguable that Lincoln McCarthy is also having a better season than JdG albeit just two games in.

Sexton is a stud. He never really made a huge impact in the midfield but the move forward has given GC something with Lynch's departure, Wright while talented is an absolute dumb footballer but Sexton has that natural forward feel. Since Dew moved him forward the middle of last season he's quietly become Elite. Nobodys going to notice however.

Watch If he kicks another 3 goals next week people will click on and think it's suddenly only this year he's been a good player

Sexton’s playing really well. A great replacement for that injury prone over rated Lynch that GC used to play up forward.
Losing Lynch & giving Sexton more of a role has improved GC.

Alex Sexton is a very good footballer but kicking 4 against freo infront of 5k people isn't the same as taking hangers an kicking 5 on the biggest stage of the weekend

Media frothing over “poor” Hawthorn and the wrong doing of Sicily,fair enough but Richmond have copped some of the shoddiest rubbish in the history of the game,the last few years yet the media don’t send us flowers or play violins.

1 free for the 2nd half last week,yet the violin concerto and Lindt chocolate gathers at Hawthorn.
