Essendon at the MCG
North at Marvel
Bulldogs at home
Gold Coast away
Sydney at home

The only games he would have potentially copped any significant booing were the Essendon and Gold Coast games. If the AFL left it alone in 6 weeks time all the booing may have been forgotten. I'm sure by the time they play Richmond in round 12 he will cop it even more now by the AFL raising it as an issue

Doubt it. The general punter will get over it soon enough. This is a topical issue right now, which will be pushed aside or forgotten about (to a degree) when the next issue arises.
In the Australian sporting industry, that could be as early as next week.

Ablett is employed by a club and more broadly an organisation that says they are vehemently against discrimination towards those who identify as LGBTI.

So why is Ablett's employer now defending him for something that they are against?

It is bizarre to me. Irrespective of Ablett's standing in the game, he should be called out for his archaic views. It's 2019, there's no place for that kind of stuff in our society.

Completely hypocritical by the AFL and those covering the sport.

C'mon mate, do you really think that he liked the post because he only agreed with bits of it? As you said, everyone is entitled to their views and the consequences for them. Well, he liked Israel's comment. In it's entirety. So he should face the consequences of agreeing with such an outdated view, right?

I think you've got it around the wrong way. It doesn't scream of PC at all. We're in the age of social media, and you don't need to comment after someone has posted to agree with their comment - if you like the post it serves the same purpose.

Don't how you correlate the "vague" card by the way, merely pointing out what you're thinking is not a given - possible but not a given.

Openly against what? This isn't a homophobic issue, not even close. The masses want it to be a homophobic thing so they can get behind something and spew vitriol, it's what they do best.

I want to make it clear that I love ALL people regardless of race, religion, gender or sexuality.
I have always admired how strong Izzy is in his faith, it is not easy to share faith in the public sphere, and this is why I initially 'liked' his post.
I understand that liking this post appeared offensive and this is why I chose to remove my 'like' from the post.
