What's the story with Max Walker and Chappelli?

Not exactly sure; Chappell has only really talked about it in Roland Fishman's 'Calypso Cricket' afaik. Just seemed to imply that Walker was always a cheapskate and not a generous person and he gave up hosting the Saturday edition of Wide World Of Sports on Ch 9 when he replaced Mike Gibson (whom he always got along well with).

The alliteration initials Eleven
(Actually, it's Twelve, I couldn't decide who to leave out. Perhaps Patel if somebody else could keep wickets).

Gautam Gambhir
Graham Gooch
Richie Richardson
Steven Smith
Basil Butcher
Mushtaq Mohammad
Chris Cairns
Parthiv Patel
Peter Pollock
Malcolm Marshall
Muttiah Muralidaran
Bishen Bedi

I have used only players whose birth initials make an alliteration, hence no Colin Cowdrey or Gordon Greenidge.

What about a Not-sending-a-Christmas-card-to-Bradman team?

Vic Richardson
Jack Fingleton
Bill O'Reilly
Ian Chappell
Keith Miller

any others?

My mate's dad who died a couple of years ago at 102 was adamant until his dying day that Bradman was no innocent in the Hodgett's affair and that if it was anyone but him he would have wound up in Yatala.

Of the current Indians, Ravi Jadeja hard done by considering the Curled moustache that’s sits atop it.

Mushtaq Ahmed hard done by

It was even harder trying to make a moustachioed eleven. Too many top names to leave out among Fred Spofforth, Dennis Lillee, Ian Botham, Richard Hadlee, Graham Gooch, Gordon Greenidge, Rod Marsh, Frank Worrell, Ranjitsinhji, Garfield Sobers, Kapil Dev, David Boon, Allan Border, Ian and Greg Chappell, Javed Miandad, Tom Richardson, George Lohmann, Clive Lloyd, etc.

Any team with Andy Bichel gets a thumbs up from me.

Along with Russell Arnold, I never understood why a full blood Sri Lankan
would be called Angelo Matthews!

I always thought it was bizarre that in a team of mostly very long names, you had something as simple as Chaminda Vaas.

Years later I found out his full name is Warnakulasuriya Patabendige Ushantha Joseph Chaminda Vaas!

I never knew Runako Morton is dead, let alone seven years ago!

I went to a Sri Lankan wedding last year. After announcing the names of the bride and groom the celebrant got a round of applause.

Why wouldn't S Marsh open?

This is one I did a while back - highest scoring Scrabble team (tests only). Has to be a real team with bowlers, bats, keeper etc.

Australia only.

1. Jaques - 22
2. Jackson - 20
3. Khajawa - 24
4. Kippax - 21
5. Fairfax - 20
6. Chipperfield - 25
7. Blackham - 21
8. McKenzie - 25
9. Kasprowicz - 30
10. McCormick - 23
11. Fleetwood-Smith - 26

Maybe to update it today, Krejza gets in (if we play 2 spinners), Hazlewood, maybe Henriques? Haven't worked out Labuschagne. (needs 'j's, 'z's, 'x's, & 'q's).

An England team could be fun.

As for all-time international - away you go:D.

Afghanistan would do pretty well in this. South Africa as well.

He added those names, after feeling left out not having a long and complicated name like his teammates.
