Because, if not, I would hope he comes very cheap. Drafted as a 21 year old and has had 3 years on the Swans list for one game. Unless injured he sits behind (judging by their team selection) Alir Alir (at 195cms) and Mclean (a 20yo rookie at 197 cms). Hard to see him being any upgrade on Phillips on the surface.

I've been a bit lukewarm about Martin but, on reflection, I think he'd be a good get dependent on the price.

We have long harboured hopes that Pickett would come good for us but I think Martin is, even now, where we could have only hoped Pickett would get and hopefully a change of clubs is all he needs to blast off and meet the potential I thought I saw when he first was drafted.

If we can add Crouch and Cogs I think we fix our midfield. Our biggest issue is lack of players consistently getting 25+ possessions.

The number of possessions is completely irrelevant. Its what you do with your possessions that is far more important to the team. Give me a 15 possession player with hurt factor every day of the week over a 25+ possession stats padder.
