If you use public speaking as your primary selection criteria for Pres, you end up with Eddie McGuire or Kochie.

This a business. It needs to be run like a business and should be run by people who understand that. The Pres needs to be able to run the Board, keep the administration accountable and set the clubs direction. Its not just a symbolic appointment.

Valuing flash over substance is what got us into this mess. I was unsure about him in the beginning but everything he has touched bar Bolton has turned to gold, and that’s all I care about.

Not sure how you link the recruitment of footballers who are unfit ( Sier), hot and cold Fasolo with a supporters conditionality. May as well throw logic out the door and recruit every injured, fat depressed footballer to Carlton

How many conditional footballers can you have on our list?

This already seems like the buzzword term for any player that people don't want to join the club this year. I have already lost count of how many times its been used already to describe players linked with us because they arent wanted by various different posters.

We don’t need him. We’ll be just fine.

We need to add as much A grade talent as we can to improve the list. I disagree our current list will be fine without him. Im nowhere near as bullish on our youngsters as others are. Some will make it, some wont. We need to keep bringing as much top level talent as we can. It would be remiss of the list management team not to. You only have to look at what adding Neale and Cameron has done for the Lions and their young team. FWIW, Lachie Neale is my tip for the Brownlow he has been that good for them. If we have the chance to add Cogs for no picks or players, then we do it.

However if he is leaving then they won't announce it until GWS' season is over.

You're right. As soon as he tells GWS he is staying, if that happens, they will announce it immediately. No doubt about it. There is no reason not to as you say.

Sat next to Tom Williamson at the presidents lunch, great bloke, didn't jumper punch me once. Nothing new and I didn't want to ask him about his injuries too much

-footy trip is in Mykonos
-he's very very happy with Teague appointment said he's extremely intelligent
-was really "flat" about Daisy leaving, but "that's footy"
-loved Jack Russell, said he understands his body better and knows when not to push through stress fractures, reckons he had them his hole junior career but didn't realize
-said he'd hope Cripps was the highest paid player In reference to Cogs
-is very excited about next year and "need to get cracking" as it's a contract year

Unfortunately, there's just no such thing as a fit side in football. It's just about impossible to have a full list considering how tough and physical the sport actually is. Therefore, it's not about being fit so much as having depth. We're certainly getting there but we're not all the way there yet.

No. That comparison is extremely clumsy. Bolton did many good things. With the benefit of hindsight the Board should have terminated his contract at the end of 2018. But if it had then Teague would not be the Senior Coach now. God knows who we would’ve got.
Maybe, on reflection, the Board moved at just the right time.
