generally we don't live in the world of the professional sports-person - most of us work in a categorized role that has its set remuneration plus bonuses maybe, loadings, leave, lsl, other perks perhaps.........knowing the person sitting across the desk from you is earning more for doing the same job could be reason for a sense of resentment couldn't it? that's all........might ask a woman what it feels like..............
Maybe its not just about onfield.
As far as onfield goes, Simmo can go on at the top level I am confident. Thomas I thought maybe could but not as confident. But if your going to choose one over the other its got to be the club legend before a jonny come fairly lately.
I agree it could cause angst but I also know firsthand (in my businesses in any case) that itdoescan work without breeding resentment.

Canberra is a very nice place.Learn to stay a sentence with a capital and you might get a pay rise.

Teague has natural chraisma and sense of humour. Listening to him has been a breath of fresh air.
Interesting indeed. No idea whether its on field or off in regards to Daisy, but as I said in another thread earlier today, him being here next year or not doesn't change our trajectory, and Id absolutely make the same argument in regards to Simmo as well. Staying or leaving doesn't change anything for us or where we are headed.

Stop horsing around........Canberra is a very nice place.
Simpson didn't play well at all IMO.

Can we not just find topics to argue with each other about?
FFS we are now bickering about the way people speak.....
Lighten up people and stop looking to post with so much negativity directed at each other , life is to short for that crap especially on our own board.
What are we gunna do for small forwards if Sydney are refusing to deal Papley?
could you not have said that before last night's game?Sam Gray is apparently a lock.
:Snort: :swish:Stop horsing around........
I would like to see Murphy play forward moreWhat are we gunna do for small forwards if Sydney are refusing to deal Papley?
Well some people keep hinting there's more to the Daisy thing, so one assumes that while Simmo has done everything right on and off-field he manages to just get another chance to go again based on his form, but with Daisy there's something else perhaps off-field that has broken the camels back.
Not gonna speculate on what that might be, for the record I love the bloke, but maybe it's enough for the club to make the decision they have.

Lemonade from lemons. Excellent.Malthouse was an amazing appointment.
He was so bad and outdated that it forced the club to see the error of its ways and belatedly join the 21st century
