I did three years in QLD. It felt like 30. Good place if you like humidity, casual racism and having such a complex that a rugby game defines whether you are a success as a state.

Hawthorn actually don’t have as bad of a young list as I thought. They have a lot of very good players in the 24-28 bracket. However worpel probably the only very good player sub the age of 24. Look it’s up to him. Long term success or short term.

You can put Hardwick in that category too. They have a reasonable number of players in that 22-26 age range.

Made this point to the Hawks board in response to the "lol Carlton" reasoning as to why Cognilio would chose them. Such arguments do both clubs a disservice.

They are bottoming out now and next year before bouncing into contention for maybe 2 years, picking up Cogs opens the window to maybe 4 years from '20 before they bottom out again.

We have the nucleus of a side that could challenge for at least 4-6 years.

The logic for choosing either club is obvious without resorting to shit disparaging arguments based on short term collective memory. (and an exercise in collective entitlement).

Levi fielding an offer. We'd be silly to match a 3 year offer (if it's legit). Personally I would give him 1 + 1 +1 with the second and third having triggers. He is in VINTAGE form and dominating wherever we put him.

Levi's about to turn 30. He has young kids.

If he has been offered 3 years on good coin by GCS (as is rumoured) then he's gone. Simple as that. He'll take it.

It would be terrible list management to match that offer and it would be highly unusual for him to risk a 1 year offer from us.

Don't take this the wrong way.

I've had a gander at your posting history on rumours - and can't help but notice that you get a lot of "info" that you share. The thing is, you seem to bounce around on the same issues (Pick 1 off the table....don't be surprised if we trade Pick 1 / Setters is locked in...wait, Setters is considering other offers / McGovern costs too much...McGovern is ours...McGovern costs too much / Billing interested but we aren't...we're interested in Billings but Saints want too much), and there are some spectacular misses along the way (Shiel never going to Essendon, he's either ours or staying loyal to GWS), and the sheer volume of info you apparently get would constitute a leak as wide as the Yarra coming out of the club. Beggars belief that someone is just handing all this info on player acquisition to someone who is then immediately posting it on a forum.

Might I enquire as to how prominent your source at the club is, and how/why they've been getting away with sending you a text every time something changes during dicsussions with opposition players? Not just when a player gives us a firm yes or no, as it seems you hear about every player we even enquire about.

Not my intention to "go the man" - just want to point out that your "source" seems to be incredibly sketchy, and perhaps you should reconsider passing on the info they give you as gospel.
