Just watching Clako on 360, he said we've poached someone (off field) from Hawthorn who's already been announced, and then it sounded like we have poached another who will be announced soon? Any ideas?

And why would you want to join a team that trains at dingley. You almost have to live out that way. Surely you move to Melbourne to join a big club on big money you want to live near the city.

And not have to play games at Tassie.

I would rather get Martin than Papley.

Martin offers more imo, can play the small forward role (his tackling and forward pressure are elite), has greater potential and if we get him for 2nd round is much better value.

I wish Gresham didn’t sign. I would rather him than Papley

I’m surprised by the willingness to hand over pick 8 for Papley and I’ve been a fan from his early days. I’d sooner hand it over for J Martin than Paps. Reckon too few are recognising how good Martin is and will be.

I’d want something worthwhile back from Swans if it’s pick 8 for Paps.

This time last year, and until a decision was made, Morris had Shiel going to the Saints. He might be better informed this time.

Elite kid, or play the market for interest in one.

As things stand, most of the roles we need to fill on the list are fairly low value aside from elite rucks, and outside and dynamic mids, so I'd be happy for us to grab a top 5ish talent, and then just invest in the back end of the draft, DFAs/cheap trades, etc.

I've shown numerous times over recent years that there is plenty of quality players going in the second half of the talent pool if you're prepared to allow them to grow out of some of their weaknesses.

Instead, we've been playing it way too safe after pick 60, and our senior reinforcements have suffered.

Saints first will be pick 5 though. That's Connor Rozee this year territory. Would think that is more than enough bearing in mind Gibbs was 10 + 16 with 19 back I think.

Ok that's fair enough, understand we all have our opinion and i probably could have worded it a little better but atm personally i would not be giving away Fisher or any other of our talented kids considering all the hard work that was done to get them in the first place, most of them are going to develop at different rates.
Just interested in who you would be willing to trade for Fisher if you had the chance, you mentioned Fremantle who would you deal for there?

B Hill, Cerra, Switkowski. I don't believe it would happen anyway, trading Fisher I mean, was just musings based on him falling away under Teague while most have improved, some vastly improved. Fisher has gone backwards.
