I just read a hilarious trade suggestion from a Freo fan on Facebook stating that we should give them Kelly, our 1st rounder and a fringe player for Hill and there 2nd rounder....wtf have they been smoking, in what world is Hill worth more than Kelly!!!!

I'd be OK with the addition of Hill, But not if he's asking for 800k per season.
I'd much rather go to the draft with two or three first round picks for the first time in a long time.
Hill is good but I rather their first pick.
Would trade our second with Kelly for their first + Hill
The most I’d go is:
Hill + 6 + their second
For Kelly + 15
Would trade our second with Kelly for their first + Hill

100% agree, no way he can knock back 800-900k per season if thats whats on the table as reported.
And we should of try him during the year. Let's just say Sav or Hawkins or Rohan gets injured the 1st final, it would of been good to play Buzza so we know how he would of fitted in the side instead of throwing him in the deep end if we have to bring him in the next final.
We could offer him 650-700K (if Kelly leaves), but it wouldn't be anymore than that. That's even if he wants to come here (which I think is all hyperbole right now)
Thoughts on the following scenario?
Assuming:
Geelong Finish 1st-4th
Freemantle 13th
St Kilda Finish 14th
St Kilda trade Pick 5 for Hill (amongst other picks)
Geelong give Kelly + Pick 15-18
Freo give Pick 5, Pick 6 + Pick 24
So we get Two top 10 picks, whilst downgrading our 1st (Pick 15-18) for a 2nd (Pick ~24)
Can swap one of those Top 10 picks for Sean Darcy if wanted/needed. In that case we mightn't downgrade our 1st pick.

He can go missing at times but he’s got some X factor about him, had a huge finals series last year. See him as a third forward.
Might be a bit optimistic I think. I’d say Kelly for pick 5 or 6 would probably do it.
Definitely a few people overpricing TK, top 10 pick will do it.
Not a chance in Hades. Pick 5 and Pick 6 for Kelly and Pick 15-18 is the absolute max that we could hope for (values Kelly at Pick 5 and a 9-12 pick upgrade). Throwing in Pick 24 on top of that is just not even in the realm of possibility

With the club having been on record as asking for two 1st rounders, probably makes sense we'd just through ours back the other way. Went a bit too optimistic.

Top 10 pick last year would've done it. This year the top ten of the draft looks pretty different.

West coasts two firsts aren't really appreciably different to the two seconds they offered last year. Swap our 2nd for the Sydney 2nd on that and that's enough of a sweetner. Essentially similar I think to what we asked for last year
If you reference recent trades .. its more like an R1 & 1/2 ... not 2R1's & 1/2
Cooper is not a great kick but the pick he will be going for now ..he still will be good value ..
What do we think of Dowling in the VFL ... looks a nice neat kick...
