Nah, he deserved the rating he had, due to his constant comedy routines. He'd give you the highest of highs, and the lowest of lows, within 20 seconds in the same passage of play. The sublime and the horrible. Now he's cut the horrible out of his game, and he's playing closer to goal.
WOW ...who would have thought an extra 2 years would have matured his game

Wasnt the best way of keeping rankine getting Luko too?
Thats what they thought.. doesnt look like its working for them though!...

Rankine has re-signed but luko doesnt exactly look like hes jumping through hoops to get his signature to paper..

Although Rankine strikes me as the type who, if he decided he wanted to come home, wouldnt give two shits about his current contract status at the time.. he’d just squeal “homesick” and demand to be traded...

Word is though, according to their current coach anyways, that Rowell and Anderson are really good mates... “inseparable” as he put it... probably pricked the Sun’s ears up that comment.. which is why they are so desperate to get that extra pick at pick 2...

On the Carlton board they were talking about the asking price for their ex-players back. I said I'd be happy with a 3rd, and my post got deleted for being a "troll"???? Reckon they're trolling themselves.
Not even worth commenting on that board of utter delusion...

I dont know why you bother.

Option 1 - GWS have 11 and 13. Green bid on at pick 3. That costs the first pick, and pick 13 becomes pick 27. They get Green and pick 27.

Option 2. - GWS trade 11, 13 and Hately for 3 and 26 and Jacobs. They also trade for an early 2nd. They draft someone at 3 and Green is bid at pick 5 - which is the same in points as 21 and 26 after discount.

Option 2 gets them two elite mids, and allows them to trade some mid-list mids for points. Option 1 gets them Green and whoever they get later in the 2nd.

I'd rather we say to GWS we won't bid on Greene @ 3/4 so he potentially becomes cheaper and trade 11, 13 for 21, 26, 28 (Greenwood), Jacobs, maybe some other steak knives.
They end up with slightly better than option 1. They have Delahunty and Peatling as an academy prospects.

We take 3, 11, 13 to the draft, plus picks for Keath, Jenkins and Betts

At 31, Jacobs is understood to have only been offered an incentive-based, one-year deal to stay at the Crows.

Rival clubs, including Greater Western Sydney, are offering longer-term deals.

At Carlton there are concerns over Matthew Kreuzer’s ability to get through a full season, while back-up Andrew Phillips has been offered a one-year deal.

Jacobs had shown remarkable durability before this year’s knee operation, playing 201 games since his Blues debut in 2009 and 19 games or more at Adelaide in each season from 2011 to 2018.

Sos loves his rejected rucks...Philips, Sauce, Lobbe. When will they learn!

Doesnt really help GWS because the next club with a pick after us and before GWS could then bid on greene..

They need to get as high as they can to really soften the blow.. higher than us because i reacon we will bid on him!

If we end up doing any deal with GWS (Sauce) you can bet your ass it will also include a hand shake agreement that we don't bid on Green.

Same reason we didn't bid on Blakely after the pick swap with Sydney.

Your assuming there's someone they want at 3 or 4 and prepared to pay a premium for.
I'm not sure there is.
You trade down to soften the blow not up.

If GWS trade up to 3, they get 2 x top 5 picks (Ando, Green) with currency of 11 and 13. They should do it everyday of the week

A lot more currency is required than 11 & 13 for pick 2 or 3. They would have to include a player.
They then need to find points for Greene. That's another 1st they need to find.

In an even draft its not necessarily that great a deal for them once the numbers are crunched.

There's people who don't have him top 5 and quite a few on the GWS board are saying they shouldn't trade up.
