1) Josh Kelly has a clause to trigger his contract extension, and he'll be FA next season if he doesn't do that.
2) Who knows what will play out with the 2 x 1st round picks for next year, but I am excited by the possibilities to turn them to great advantage with up to 8 academy kids expected to go in the first round, and many top shelf players coming out of contract at the end of 2020.

You would be expecting something for Papley and definitely a 2nd round pick coming back for Martin.



Sticking it to them would be an Olympic sport if we had our way.........and the Olympics would take place every day of every year.

There's bigger "rivalries" in the AFL in regards to numbers & crowd attendances etc., but nothing approaches the pure, unbridled hatred we have for them.

I don't have any issues with our age profile and our only seriously pressing list issue is an heir for Goldstein, due to the fact that rucks tend to take time.

Brown is 26 and has another 7 years of footy left. Larkey is an extremely promising KPF who cemented a spot in 2019.

A quick small forward is a need, but you can pick them up relatively quickly, as is another outside midfielder (winger) to compliment Polec, but I have very high expectations for Bailey Scott. I'm not aware if you have considered the youth we already have on our list (4 x RS noms in 2019), but I consider that we are well placed in that regard. I expect us to play finals in 2020.

Not expecting anything important for us will happen before 5 or 6pm. Perhaps the Phillips and Pittonet trades will go through early, if anything.

We’re got interest in another player who is unhappy.. but not in trade period.

So the 'unhappy' to me suggests that this player must be OOC but has another contract on the table ie - not a Masten or Bennell type who've been delisted and are searching for any opportunity to play on.

Seems unlikely to be a young player with any currency otherwise their club would be trying to get value out of a trade.

Does point to a older player who's only been offered a one/two year take it or leave it type extension? - Think it's probably Christensen or Newnes. Not sure either improves our list significantly. Would have preferred us go after Knight or Cutler but looks like they're off to the Swans and Convicted Drug Cheats respectively.
