He woke up on the wrong side of the bed.....Grumpy bugger..... so snatched it, bet n all!

Interesting for Narre. St Francis OC have left the VAFA and are joining the Southern FL.

But most interestingly, says they’ve linked up with Narre South juniors and will have a club name change soon. So stand by for Narre South FC.

If you look on the map it’s the big gap in football clubs in a very populated area. And they play at that cracking Ormond Rd Reserve with huge new rooms and two ovals.

Long term they’ll surely cut into Narre’s feed of players.

i doubt it, Cranny were at one stage trying to link with Narre South as Cranny Juniors weren't as strong number wise as they once were, some kids now at Cranny that would be abt 21 or so.
Narre South has Berwick Springs virtually 1 km away. Plenty of choices if kids in the area want to play senior age footy.

No news on who’s leaving/ what clubs picked up players?
There's a few comings and goings being posted on various Facebook sites and similar avenues of signings (and resignings). Some clubs seem more pro-active than others with this.

Interesting to hear that apparently with a major sponsor pulling out (and disruptions due to getting new clubrooms) that Wandin will likely be allowed to drop to Divvy 1. Possibly about 4-5 players have left, including Van Unen, but we will see the accuracy of that when clearances get posted. Wandin (along with Upwey and Woori) have been one of the power clubs in the YVMDFL for the last 30 years and still have a very strong nucleus of players and I would anticipate that they would have to be the favourites in Div 1 for next year regardless of whatever issues they claim to be facing.

No Div 1 clubs seem interested in moving up so not sure the big clubs in Premier will be happy as they wanted 10 clubs and may now get Byes every week again as there may only be 9 clubs. We will see if they think it is an issue when their two year agreement expires at the end of the year. If Upwey and Olinda are embracing Premier then you would have thought Wandin could have at least seen through the coming year.

Divvy 1 will then have 10 teams if this is allowed to happen - Wandin, Healesville, Monbulk, Officer, Mt Evelyn, Emerald, Belgrave, Seville, Gembrook and Berwick Springs.

I suppose we will find out when the fixture is released whether all that is true.

Are you serious? Wandin go 7-9 to finish in sixth just a win and a half outside the Five and they want to drop down a grade? Gimme a spell.

Meanwhile Olinda-Ferny Creek (5-11) and Upwey Tecoma (3-13), who are less competitive are showing us that they have bigger cajones and would rather fight a fight that is much tougher for them than it is for Wandin if what you are saying is true.

Woori made finals

If this is true then Wandin must be able to show the League that they will face a Silvan style exodus of players, post Compass sponsorship withdrawal in 2009. Otherwise on past performance and for competition structure it doesn't merit any action.

Ben & Zach Monkhurst, all going to South Croydon
This is the sort of concern I have had for valley clubs over the last year in the new merged league against the much larger south east suburban teams. If some clubs (the old valley clubs) have no hope of winning a premiership it will be hard to retain star players. Hopefully the league will start to balance out with some of the long term measures being taken but am not sure whether that will be seen in 2020. Hopefully Wandin and Woori losing players doesn't become a long term trend and is just a coincidence.
