My guess is that if they proceed with R1, they might also announce intention to smash through R2-R4 as quickly as possible, so, eg, Rich v Coll could be perhaps next Tues night (and then Rich R3 game next Sunday, or whatever, just wild guessing here...). Hence, short qtrs starting this weekend as a way to mitigate v. short break before next game.
